I see various metal detector circuits in this site...
please tell me one of these MD is best for building?
my important factors is:
(more depth & sensitivity with good discrimination)
This MD are seems good:

1- TESORO GOLDEN SABRE
2- DELTA PULSE
3- PULSE STAR-2
4- CLONEPI-2
5- SNIFFER XR-71
6- MINIPULS3 or MINER-4 from (http://www.pulsdetektor.de)

Please help me about choosing a best MD for building...

Tesoro Golden Sabre is a VLF detector others are PI detectors, you cant compare those detectors becouse they are different by determination, you must to be precise abouth your designation with MD (for what you are searching)?- (coins or lots of treasure)?

uhm... what a question!

The only VLF is golden sabre !

OK, the question is.... DO YOU NEED DISC ?

If you don't and don't care of iron detection of rusty nails and similar made/buy a good PI... this is often the choice for people doing beach-hunting... cause it's easy dig holes in sand... so you don't care much if find iron at the end... and look ahead for good items in few minutes (sometimes seconds!) .

BUT IF YOU NEED DISC, RELIABLE DISC... well... you need a VLF like golden sabre, NO DUBT.

Other considerations are related to manual geb /auto geb... geb if present or not... or your preferite color...

But DISC is very very serious stuff if you need it.

Most THs need disc and cannot deal without it: for example I have plenty of PI detectors... made by me etc but I don't use them often... I ALWAYS SEARCH USING DISC !

This is my search strategy... that suit better to my needs, I'm not saying is the right way to do it.

For example, on beach hunting (rare for me) I could forget about disc and use my best PIs to gain depth on sand... but the price is NO DISC AT ALL.

Do not belive some of these units (unless golden sabre) really can disc stuff reliable way... it isn't ! I tested all them apart clone-pi... so I know what I'm talking about... PSII is good but not so good... don't waste money if you need real disc.

Also I like care around geb control in any MD... if there isn't it's a problem for me... I want working device not something that will beep at any change of soil!

Some PIs works cool with high suspended coils (PSII and Delta are this way) but become crazy horses when you mount round coils... and try e.g. coinshooting. Be aware of PIs for coinshooting apart in beach and few other (nice neutral soil) places... they are very bad compared to VLF with disc and manual geb (like TGS).

So it's up to you... your needs will tell you what make/buy!

Hi friends !

I built minipuls 3 about 1 year ago.
It "hear" 1 euro coin at about 20 cm in free air.
It has not discrimination and has not ground balance.

It is necessary to use a modified software for obtain better performance and a bit of discrimination.

I suggest you to built miner4 if you prefer to do a md between that published on pulsdetektor.de web site.
