Water proof speakers

I was not really sure where best to ask this question so I'm going to fire it off here.
Do any of you know how to, or has anyone ever water proofed small speakers. By small I mean the type used for a head set. I would like to make up a head set basically like a walkman or Mp3 player uses. This would connect to a wire running with my air hose from my hooka dive compressor.
I know they make small water proof speaker Ive seen other set ups. I would like to give making some a try myself as I believe it would have to be less expensive. Or would it be best to just find a place to purchase some?

I think most waterproof headphones made by detector companies use piezo elements encased in silicone, and most I've seen use Bilsom all-plastic earmuffs. Should be quite easy to make, probably $20-40.

Instead of creating a new thread i will ask my question here.
I want to make underwater headphones for a PI detector. I was reading about the bone conduction earphone and piezo elements, but i think it will not be so sensitive like a headphone speaker. i want to glue the speaker inside the case of the headphones do that only part exposed to the water will be the plastic membrane. Does the water/salt water or pressure pushing on the membrane will affect the headphones? I use speakers salvaged from motorola transceiver, firm membrane.

If you only dunk your head in the water that should work OK. If you go even a few feet deep then the water pressure bottom out the mylar cone and the speaker won't work.

I make a set of these which are fully printed, I designed them to be used with easily found inexpensive speakers, I have not did a deep water test seeing how it winter here, but I did fill a sink full of water and kept them submerged for an hour, all is fine, they printed with taulman bridge nylon and just for safe measure I sealed the wires in and out along with snap fit cup caps with West system G-Flex epoxy.
