  • sd2000 question

I recently purchased an sd2000 from a guy that was going to mod it. He detached the plate that has the coil connection. There is a red, black, and yellow wire that goes to this coil connection. However, there are five terminals on the connector. Does anyone know which wires go to which terminal. The terminals are numbered 1 through 5 going clockwise. These numbers are also on the plug on my coiltek coil. Also, the guy lost the ferrite ring that goes around these wires. Does anyone know a part number for a replacement or whether a clamp-on ferrishield will work?
    Thanks

    Here ya go James

If you want a little ferrite thingy try giving m/lab a ring, all though i find the detector works ok with out it.
By the way when are you going to finish the schematic for the 2000.

Thanks Zed! I am no where near ready to make up my own schematic this complex yet. I just got into electronics in February and it has been a steep learning curve. I have enjoyed metal detecting for awhile and finally decided to learn how they work. Right now I have been going over the schematics to look up components and find out how what they do. I hope to someday be able to understand it well enough to do mods or maybe come up with mods. Right now I just think that it is amazing to be learning about how things work and to better understand my detector. Thanks for your help in being willing to answer my questions.

        power consumption

        Hi all,

How much is the power consumption of ML SD2000?

        Best regards,
