  • BOUNTY HUNTER 3300

HI, DOES ANYONE KNOWS THE PERFORMANCE OF BOUNTY HUNTER 3300.
THIS, CAUSE I HAVE THE OPORTUNITY TO BUY ONE UNIT AT A VERY CONVINIENT PRICE.
THE SALESMAN TOLL ME THAT THIS DETECTOR CAN DETECTC A COIN AT 25 CMS. BUT HE DID NOT TOLL ME WHAT WAS THE COIN DIMENSION.
PLASE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT DEEP DETECTION WILL BE APPRECIATED.
    IN ADVANCE , MANY THANKS
    NELSON

Mine hits a U.S. dime consistently at 7" and a quarter at 8", air test. So for 10" (25cm), it would have to be a half-dollar size or bigger. For a $100 detector it's not bad.

I picked up one 2 years ago at a goodly discounted price. I have found several gold rings, one silver ring with it and a lot of modern coinage. I think it would be good for clad hunting and if you get good at using the pinpoint (static) mode in conjunctiion with the motion mode, you may be able to find some gold rings. It does pinpoint very well and goes deep in that mode, the pinpoint (static mode) is well to defined and detuning is easy to do.
On the negative side, it has a slow recovery so one needs to slow down where there are a lot of signals and maybe resweep again over the same place. It doesn't get as good depth on low conductors as high conductors and for target masking, I would rate it below average.
Because it is low priced, I don't mind leaving it in my vehicle for periods of time and use it sometimes to quickly scout out an area to see if it shows any promise for me to detect later with my other detectors.
Bottom line is I wouldn't use it for serious detecting but if the price is low enough, it should do ok for casual detecting but I don't have any regrets for getting it.
