Apparently this detector is able to detect steel, iron and non-ferrous metals. It can also detect the presence of cables.
So there doesn't appear to be any form of discrimination.
Other data:
Depth detection for steel, approx. 50 mm.Depth detection for copper, approx. 30 mm.
Automatic shutdown, approx: 75 sec.
I don't think this is a stud finder. In my collection I have a Rapitest joist and stud finder, and I can honestly say that's it's next to useless.
This Bosch unit comes from a quality manufacturer, and it appears to be a proper handheld metal detector. Perhaps you could modify it to take a larger coil and use it for relic hunting.

HERE IS ANOTHER MODEL . I AM HOPING TO FIND A MODEL WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES AND THEN SEE IF IT CAN BE MODIFIED TO WORK WITH A STANDARD SIZE SEARCH COIL !!! DONT LAUGH , THIS WAS DONE IN 2003 , REMEMBER THE P.I PROSCAN PROJECT .THE ORIGINAL DEVICE WAS THE PROSCAN ,WHICH WAS A HAND HELD SCANNER USED AT ENTRANCES TO COURT HOUSES ..ETC... SOME ARE VERY POWERFULL AND WITH SMALL DIAMETER SEARCH-COILS ..................EUGENEAttached Files
