    Bothoa - detecteur des metaux

French metal detector, possibly from '70.
Just hear from a friend pretty descent report on this model.Obsolete, old, simple...but very descent reports.
    But...havent seen it. Any informations?
Supposed to have omega coil. Multi coil setup.
I tried to search on internet and there are few .pdf files mentioning that model, yet without photo.
Anybody know a bit more on this?
    At least post a photo...

No, friend just told me a story about it. Somebody else is owner.
There are few .pdf's on French language you can find on net, but no photos.
Also friend told me, there are few 741 opamps and several transistors on its pcb. Main catch is in coil. It is omega coil but with multiple windings. There are 4 wires from each coil, tx and rx. Small plate inside coil with some electronic too.Device looks robust and obsolete, but field reports are more than descent, as he told me. Thats all i know for now.

Means: this book was published by "Bothoa Editions" in 1977, and Bothoa was the first brand of detectors in France.Their names were "Taup1" (probably a typo, should be "taupe 1") , "ER100" and "TBF442"
(I have also seen reference to "taupe 40".)

        Regards,
        Fred.
