I am not sure RObert did that, what you just told us. At the time he was naive and let 4 other people to use his old nick and password. Lot of damage done than, here, on RObert's account. So...he realised what donkey he was than, leaving other smucks to represent themselves as RObert.
Carl actually did the right thing banning that member out. Now we have here real and only one Roberts (one person)...

Once you started your story, it would be fair to continue and explain such claims as detection with PI on 7.5 meters depth.

I reside in the USA but I visit Greece twice a year. I have already read your thread about the MDL 8500, and I searched in the internet for that unit but nothing found. Definitely it does not look like a military item. Nor would someone take the components from a military detector, fabricate a box/case to place them in, just to sell it to you. It is, apparently, a unit that someone made a few years ago but for some reason did not mass produce. For the same reason, it does not show in the net anywhere.

MDL be military or not, is not important. Significant is that it really works
exact what I described there. it's incredibly powerful. it's like an eagle which hunts rabbits(metals) from great altitude (at great depth). eagle name suits it not White's products.

the maximum operative depth depends on many factor , soil condition and minerals in soil , moisture , salt ... affect the depth . when the soil conditions was bad tuning the detector means reducing the sensivity and the oprative depth and more size of coil never help for penetrate more cause every time you make a larger coil your detector needs to more reduce the sensivity in automatic devices like Ps2 OR LORENZ you could not see this obviously but maybe you find this when you use of PI with manual tuning in diffrent places with diffrent soil conditions , so your right it's possiblefor lorenz or PS2 never exceed more than 2 meters depth in your working area and when a place has such soil condition the best choice (for MD) is a vlf motion detector like Minelab explorer or white's that you ignore more ferromagnetic items cause soil mostly have ferromagnetic behaviour in such conditions.

but when i said i detect an object in 7.5 depth ,the soil conidtion are very good for PI , it was a buried treasure room of about 1800 years old with 2.5*3 meters and about 1.9m height then we complete our investegations with GSSI SIR with 100Mhz antenna and then ...( it was a government project that i was a memeber of discovery team ) i dont want to discuss about that more cause i know 99% members of this forum never go for such treasure finding they work for some hobbies and having some good time with each other .
and about gems you know it has good sensevity for buried ferromagnetic items and in mineralized soil a data logger with advanced interpolation software that ignore or autocorrect mineral effect doing like a miracle.but i know if you try your test field with a datalogging PI your results improving in quaility.

If you think you are close, than try to find some proven georadar and check the place. Perform all checks with all possible devices you can obtain. Once you find it be very smart. Finding treasure is only first step (and most difficult). But next step is more dangerous - how to exchange it for real money! Police are everywhere.
So...i dont need to tell you much of it, guess you already know all the aspects..

Not now...i will be affraid when found something so valueable. So far i did not found some extra treasure. I am coinshooter mostly, not a prospector. So my finds are modest (converted in money).
But when luck slap me over neck, i will think seriously what next to do...

We all do have same dreams - to step on a fantastic treasure deposit. Nice!

It is very dangerous! Police, criminals... All will look at you as on sweet target!
To deal with state...no way! At least here in my country..law is not defined well so they will take everything, if man decide to go straight.
Other hand...if try to smuggle or sell on black market - even more problems!

Hi iviconic, you don't ever want to go for real treasure hunting ,fear of police make you a coin shooter forever and you satisfy yourself there's no PI in the earth that penetrate more than 1.5 meters deep and the other device like real GPRs (not OKM) are very expensive so when you can't reach them it's better idea remaining on coin shooting .the OKM roverc 2 or Gems is excellent , yeah coz it detects ferros and every one that use such okm device knows all of them are very weak .even with v3d software and super sensor . v3d software added a simple interpolation not more miracle that cost 1000$ and i write more powerfull additional software for correcting that false signals of okm products but the okm tower has no founation! and supersensor a 4000$ crap.
please don't tell me more about OKM i test I-160 2005 exp5000 exp3000 roverc graifinder roverdelux .... the okm device can't give a good result ,a PS2 is very stronger and more accurate than all of them .

After getting signal with PI we test the target with a GPR not OKMGPR , why we use of PI for searching , cause searching with GPR on open fields is very hard and slow ,so after finding hotspots by a PI real investegating by advanced Devices and software starts then modeling the terrain shape of ground and signals ,yeah now digging , the treasure room was made by some ancient concrete and was very hard , but the recovery team crack the roof and pull out the huge mass of 2 bronz statue knifes cauldron dishes and bowls and other kitchen objects in diffrent shapes and sizes made by bronze some of that dishes has painting with gold and silver but no coin in there ... i know it's a rare situation but you better do your coinhunting and i'm doing my hoard treasure hunting , we are on oposite side of TH .

Only coins or any treasure - law is same here, says "criminal behavior". So i dont hunt for coins due some "fear" of police. I search coins cose it is my hobby. Best hobby on earth!
10 years ago i was prospector also. But gave up, to much legends and fairy tales, no benefits. Coinshooting is real hobby and joy.

This is only assumption and very wrong! Sorry, it is not like that, in my case.

I also have bad experience with 2005 and exp5000, so i can partially agree with you. But do have much better experiences with Gems and Rover, and here can't agree with you.
PSII is not that good. PSII is far from being half good of what claimed.

good, nice, enjoyable story. every time I read or hear or sometimes watch pics of such successes it delights me.
you pointed roof of a hard ancient cement. the exact thing I'm afraid of and am sure we'll confront in our latest hit. it's a very huge target and am sure had been hardened with hard elements to make a kind of big buried safe underground to save their hoard for long time. maybe 2-3 meters of hard cement on roof.

The story you described is similar to what most of people here are dealing with. aren't you from Middle East? you tell all my heart words. it gives me feeling as if we have worked shoulder to shoulder with each other.

you're right iviconic each one of us have some experienced on TH , working with detectors in different fields depend on many factors and maybe the detector that work very good here doesn't work at your area . anyway i know some times coin hunting is better choice cause hoard TH is more dangerous and in many places is illegal , and TH is a hobby even for me .
