KT315 , On this thunder schematic , I wonder why they designed the thunder like this , 3 - "5 volt regulators" used with the IRF transistors . Maybe it is very stable and will never give false signals ????? I have heard that this detector works very , very Good , but it looks like some of the parts might be hard to get ??? Not common here in U.S.A.!!! I am searching for I.C. substitutes. Is there a sprint-layout file of this detector yet ??????......I never looked close at the schematic till now...Maybe you have to buy a kit to get the parts??......Comments are very welcome.......Eugene

Hi Aft. I constructed the SS60 before time (1.5.... 2 years ago). It is a very strong detector but only for "soft" ground. The problems are that it has not GEB and it needs about 250ma electric current from battery, so it need a big one battery. It has a very good 2 tone disc. Generally it is a very good detector but it is better to construct the light version of TGS with a big coil

My coil is32cm and i believe that it will work fine with a bigger coil.
If i reemember right i used 96 turns and 105 turns of 0.3mm wire.

coil was 32cm DD
30mm coin 45cm on the air
In ground i found a silver coin 25mm at 30cm (i dont know how) and some old coins at 10... 22cm. also some other iron objects but at no special depth.
So i believe that at the ground has about the same depth with TGS with 32cm coil (as Ivica said one time)

At the Tx coil you must use 0.4mm wire. At Rx 0.25 is OK (no problem).
I did not remember about the depth for 50eurocent coin. Now i destroed the coil (i used the house for other coil) so i cant do the test

newest thunder is 5-th version. it is top secret model - say for you especcialy! its schematic NEVER MORE will be opened and shared in Internet. you are NOT appreciating what you get free of charge. you are so naive if you get good info without money charge. Iura Petric says you - the schematic has been got so beautiful that I did think do not shared it to public.

If you do not want to share, than dont.Nobody asking you to.

TGS is excellent, yet there are better and worse projects, like anything else in life.

And yes , Thunder-5 is just top-secret for now !!!!!!
