  • Pulsedec metal Detector?

    Hi...i'm new around here......
I was digging in the loft and found 2 metal detectors that say Pulsedec on them, i think my dad purchased them many years ago. How do these machines compare to the newer pulse machines are they for the scrap bin or do they work ok in this day and age. I seem to remember the 8 cells in them didn't last for many hours.

Was the Pulsedec made by Eric Fosters company?

This might be a question for Eric's PI Forum, but I'll bet it's his design. I collect vintage detectors, so if you decide to sell them let me know.

          Pulsedec

From what I remember (and they are an old brand) you had a "dec" series that were nothing to do with Eric at all.
          Pulsedec,Pimdec,Eurodec and Superdec.
All expensive, all heavy and ate batteries. None motion with a spider type coil with three arms.
They were either made by or got taken over by "Pulse Technology" and dropped hand held hobby machines when taken over by Eriez Magnetics.
