  • Congratulations Carl & White's!

    Hi Carl,

Took a few days for me to find out but I'm very pleased to hear you and White's came to an agreement. My passion is detecting and so being able to have it be part of my job for over 32 years has been a blessing. I hope your job at White's is the same for you.

This will hopefully give me the opportunity to meet you. Are you having to make a move to Sweet Home?

Some comment was made about White's not being interested in small volume projects. I think the TDI has disproved that. There is nothing wrong with niche products as long as they pay their way. Of course that remains to be seen with the TDI.

    Hi Steve,

Yes, I plan to be in Oregon mid-August. At some point I would like to plan a trip to Alaska to check out your operation, just don't know when. There is much to do.

Yes, low-volume products can be justified, under several scenarios. I'll know soon what the possibilities are.

      Hi Carl,

Yup, I think some hot rock field testing may be in order. Might accidently find a nugget while at it but that is the price you have to pay when doing field tests.

Minelab proved if you can deliver the good, people will pay. I never thought I'd own a $5000 metal detector, but I do. I'm sure a lot of that is a very large margin to make up the fact that the unit numbers are relatively low, but there is nothing wrong with that.

The TDI at $1599 is a bargain. I literally paid for mine with the first nuuget I found.
