Before creating a "sharp" tip for my Whites Pinpointer out of some plastic tube plus soldering iron I did break off the edges of the ferrite so the tip is more round. The copper windings are starting almost direktly there so I had to be cautious.

For getting maximal detection distance near the tip move the coil windings near there or cut the ferrite.

For making it more perfect first sharpen the ferrite-tip carefully because this stuff is fragile and next wind the coil directly over there.

A "half-sharp" tip is much better for pressing the pinpointer into the ground as a flat one and if you dig out some old vampire you can push your "plastic-dagger" into his black heart!

I want to do a pinpointer, I have prepared this PCB but I don't know if it will work, has anyone tried it?

          Any other recommended pinpointer?

          Thx

Don't waste you time and get the 2in1 Nokta Makro Pulse Dive.
Its also super to pinpoint deep finds on or below land.

I use Teemo's circuit for a pinpointer. Works well and discriminates between ferrous and non-ferrous.
