  • Tender for Goldscan IV or SD2000 PCB

    Hi Everyone

Well the title says it all. I'm looking to pay someone to fully assemble a working GS IV or SD2000/2200 PCB. Please PM me your quote. I am testing every PI unit I can find for a side by side comparison article. Obviously I can't afford the full units nor find enough people with the different detectors. Shoot I can't even find an American owner of the GS5C that isn't a dealer. Hope this is OK to post here.

    Regards,

    DH

    Hi,
assembling and tuning properly a GS IV is not trivial stuff, not good even for experts: you'll probably find someone here that will offer you to mount the pcb (btw where did you found the pcb for it ??? maybe you mean the smt design ???) but you'll never be sure it will be like the original... cause who made it must be a real DIY "hero"... otherwise just forget about.

Why don't you look for a second-hand unit instead ? Maybe it's easier... then after you have tested it you can resell ...cause these detectors are easy to sell... even used 3rd or 4th hand.

Another idea: you can also ask Eric Foster to provide you some finished unit... if your purpose is just evaluate it I think he will send you with the agreement that you'll pay for shipping costs forward and back.... I think you can ask him about, go to his forum and ask there... or by email.
Also, he designed the unit and knows everything of it... you can ask whatever you want... and he will eventually answer you!

    Kind regards,
    Max

      I agree

      Hi Max

I definitely agree with trying to purchase a second hand one. Only one problem, I haven't been able to find one. I might have possibly tracked down a used GS 4 in Australia but so far it has led to nothing. I'm still on the waiting list for a GS5C.

I will definitely Email Mr. Foster, I stupidly assumed he did not have the time to answer Emails. It would definitely be in his favor to let me test one in the California Mother lode region and my South American claims. Folks here don't even know what a Goldscan is. This is White's country out here. I would like to see a change. If any one is interested in coming out to the Mother lode PM me or go to http://www.treasureforum.net . I will gladly pay to rent any PI machine for the testing grounds out here! My club and I are happy to go out with other detector buffs.

      Thanks for your help.
