Hi.
A few years ago I owned a Deep Maxx. The 1 x 1 m Loop is very good but the coils are not so good. Nexus is much better! Actually: Lorenz P 5 (similar to deep maxx), minelab TX 70 and Nexus SE.

we tested lorenz deepmax x3 and result with an aluminium plate(17cm x 18.5cm) in normal room was 120cm maximum depth.

Today i tested a Deepmax X3
With 35cm coil ... no Good
Soda can at 50cm on air. When i put a small object on the arm, so to just no beep then it detected the soda can at near 70cm. The same with a 22mm gold coin . At firts it detected it at 20cm and later at 28...30 cm. As the owner told me with the 1x1 frame it has fantastic detecting distance

Come on ram, almost 8 meters with a 40cm coil? I'd say 1.25 m to 1.5 m.

the depth completely depends on target size and soil condition // on good soil condition it can detect a car at 7 meters deep with 3*3 coil // in heavy mineralized soil it reduce under 2.5 m // in heavy mineralized soil you can oly use DD coils with auto function reach the maximum depth of 1.5 meters with use of ground balance system .
