          Talk to Detech

Talk to the manufacturing company, They should help.

              a power full metal locator

Hello Rajesh , Looks like a Fun and Great Winter Project !!! It seems like a VLF DD search-coil . Only 2 IC chips and 3 transistors on main circuit board . Let us know how it Goes ?? What are the chip numbers . Might be low frequency , with an oscilloscope you can find out the exact operating frequency . I heard of Detech brand somewhere , Maybe made in the U.K also ??.............Regards.............Eugene52

                      a power full metal locator

Hello , I bet the problem is with the tiny circuit board inside the search-coil and not the windings . There are a lot of circuit tests you can make with just a good ohm meter . You might have a Good Rare VLF Machine that not to many people know about !!.....Keep us informed on your interesting Old Circuit....................Thanks................. ..Eugene52

No need to be very complicate for to be sensitive.

Is the 8 pins IC a LM358 and the other a 4066? Appears use zener for volt. regulation... seems like a C-Scope model with some variants.

Do you can trace the transmitter circuit inside the coil housing?

                          Regards

                          Esteban

rajesh: most probable in damaged is the oscilation transistor, (in coil tx), because these suffer extremely work
may be esteban know the solution to these faulth
try the oscilation of tx ( little circuit in the coil ), try the signal to finish the second trasistor of receptor
i am not expert tegnic, but beginer
