So many of my ideas in there it's almost uncanny, in fact the analysis mode is a DIRECT copy of part of my design. Interesting how I submitted my design to Whites UK around four years ago, and was told that Whites US wasn't interested. Still at least I got ripped off by Whites and NOT Minelab!!
Of course it could be all coincidence (and I WILL be buying a Vision by the way) but then again, maybe not .
And HERE is my original document I submitted to George McRae of Whites which was ORIGINALLY show to CScope of Ashord Ket UK some THREE YEARS EARLIER (I edited the design for Whites final version, but only after sight ws had of this document).
BTW fold, this document was added to and originally sent to GARRETT viw Regton (a UK dealer) the machine was called the Garrett Digidec GTi. Shortly aftewards they brought out the Garrett GTi series.
Yep, BEEN THERE 20 years before ANY of these guys have (yawn).
And NOW this is in the public domain, Minlebas patent on a metal detector with PC interface (the E-Trac) is WELL void!
My original document proposing the methods of MF dated 1989 and STILL filed in my lawyers vault in a dated, signed, witnessed envelope. The copy of this is what went to Garrett.
CScope submission was around 2002/2003. I drove all the way from Taunton to Ashford to do the presentation. They loved the idea but didn't have the money to build the prototype.
If I'd had te $500K I needed, I could still make this idea of mine a reality in under 18 months. I have all the people I need ready for the phone call. Sadly It will probably never be made.
Still, not bad, 20 years ahead of all the others ;-)
I'm STILL going to buy of these Whites Vision machines though.
Neither of those is MF and wasn't anything particularly new back then either, nd the only thing those two patents have in common is they both start with 48. Sorry but they are not applicable here which is why they were not cited on the Whites MF patent. But thanks for thinking of me when you made that statement .
Most patents are simple progressions from existing technology, and are granted in error. For something to be truly patentable is should be, in the words of the patent office, "Something new and radical, like nothing that has gone before". Sadly in the US you could patent paper these days so lax is the US Patent Office.
If you have a US patent it does NOT automatically guarantee that the devices patent application will be granted in the UK or EU for example, but if you have a GB patent then it is 99.99% guaranteed that you will be granted a US patent. Go figure!!
I could show you two patents, one from Tesoro, and one from Garrett that are identical, yet both were granted. Tee Tesoro one first then a year later the Garrett one. This would NEVER happen in a country whee IP was actually valued, or the patent office did their work which is WHY yo usee most of Minelabs patents applied for in the US first.
Take some TIME and read Candy's pat apps. They are full of ambiguous claims and some very dodgy math which only he claims to understand. When you eventually interpret them there is very little substance. They are filed this way so as to protect the way their machines really work. Can't say I blame them for doing that though.
Hi Aziz, nope, never made a penny from this idea. I tried and tried to get companies to support it, thay all went crazy, but I got nothing.
I have sent an email to Whites saying if they send me TWO UK spsec Visions, thne I will be happy and not pursue the matter through my lawyers.
I have many other ideas including one I think YOU might be interested in. I do not have the time anymore, but I would happily give the idea to you if you could do something with it. Of course I would want only a reasonable cut of the profits. If you do all the work, it's only fair you get most of the money. But the idea IS still 10 years at least ahead of ANYTHING out today.
The maain problem with the Vision is $1600?? I DON'T THINK SO!! The day of the $1000+ detector is OVER. if this was priced at $799, the DFX at $699 and the XLT at $599, Minleab would go bust overnight as Whites would outsell EVERY manufacturer out there.
Unfortunatelly, I have decided not to develop metal detectors anymore in order to avoid unintentional patent breaches. I am only interested in developing ground anomaly detectors (Come on thiefs! Its not too late to patent this idea! ).
Regarding to your interesting offer, it isn't possible to me to develop a commercial product due to lack of means at the moment. May be some years later, if I can earn some money then. You know, I am not working for the government, where I live at the moment. I also have decided not to work in the european union anymore.
Therefore I will spend some time through the economic crisis with interesting ground anomaly experiments. The universal hardware prototype is in development. Of course, only to detect ground anomalies!!!
