  • Detector Tone

    Gday Guy's,

Could someone give me some advice (besides give up) on making a smooth tone for a detector when a target is detected.

I have tried some readily available cheap type Pizo's etc but these sound more like a Rat scraping it's teeth down glass & another i can get sounds from like a Geiger counter to a high pitched squelch but nothing smooth & pleasant to the ear.

What do i need to create a smooth tone for my detector.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

        Thanks Guys,

        Rov,

I get what you mean by creating a tone is basic electronics but i thought someone may have a trick way to create a nice smooth tone from the cheap pizo's.

I just can't seem to get that comfortable tone to the ear when a target is detected, i'll keep at it.
