Reffering XR7; yes it is DBP2010. I had it on service a while ago. So i opened it and took many shots, some of those posted on these forums long time ago.
It is DBP2010 - exact, no doubts.
Here are some more shots from my collection....enjoy!

          So it says " XR71" !?!
Now...we have to establish real truth. Is it XR7 or XR71 or DBP2010.
I am 1000% sure in one thing; XR7 and DBP2010 are the same. Not sure about "XR71" on picture above...

It remembers me the ATINY4 or miner or.... Same double coil 28cm , IGBT.... Big power 840w.., very good detecting distance in the air theoretical etc... etc.
In practice a 25 mm coin at 32...33 cm, max detecting distance 1.5m on air.... etc
Where is the theoretical 2.8m??? of Atiny4??
I believe Argus is the same with PulseDetector.
They make the power biger and that is all.
But all we know that big power is good at big coils with large delay and not at coils 20... 50cm.
A "friend" tried a Argus (i don't know who model" for hiw excotic results but without results

              Regards

                Hi Ivica.
You have right about DBP and XR7.
I own a XR71p (only the pcb, not the box) and is exactly the same with Delta except frequency.

                Regards

                      Giasou Geo!

                      Yes i think the same.
Let's try to reconstruct hronology for a while,
it seems the first one was DBP2010. First it was published by author as independent project. Than some manufacturer (possiblly the same author) started more serious production line (possibly supported by Conrad) and they presented "XR7" to the world. Than...evolution .... XR71 (more modern and with better signal control) was made and presented to market. Than... (reconstruction) some bulgarian enthusiast bought original XR71 and traced it. Same bulgarian enthusiast made another pcb and also applied few minor mods and named it "Delta Pulse". So than Delta Pulse was presented to market....

Maybe i am wrong, maybe not. But it seems the right chronology for me..

Now... only question left is; who copied who ???

If you take a look on timing section at XR71 (Delta Pulse) you can spot certain simillarities with more modern designs....for example GS etc...etc...
Also there is XL500 with simillar timing section....and many others!

is there anything on Lorenz? I see their first LP5 is working on 1300/70 Hz http://www.lorenzmetaldetector.com/l...fications.html
is it sorta of Delta Pulse?
last Deep max X3 is working on 2100/1400Hz! http://www.lorenzmetaldetector.com/d...fications.html
                        Hi,
unfortunately I never saw any complete lorenz schematic. I know they use large capacitors for the switching tx operation, maybe the storage idea also present in some pulsestar later design.

The idea is deliver always same amount of energy to coil, that's about what usually is made by controlling TX pulse width and as it remains constant energy will be also (about constant).

In that designs the energy delivered is strictly controlled by charging a large capacitor... to a fixed voltage level, then let it discharge by an SCR or similar device.

It's somehow similar to some electronic car ignition stuff... but more sophisticated use microcontroller for supervising all operations.

Anyway, I don't remember of any of them published or made available for true cloning, unfortunately.

                        Kind regards,
                        Max

My Detector is with pcb from XR71p, but it is from "Pulse electronics" if i remember ok, and gave it to me Mr Eric Foster.
Now there are 3 players.... Who is the first?????

                              Hallo zusammen,
