automax v4 mod?

I was wondering if there was a way to get more out of the automax v4 someone gave one to me and its not all that great of a machine. Is there anyway i can mod it, build my own coil to get more out of it. any help in the matter would greatly be welcome. thanks for looking.

WOW!!! what a small world it really is i am the origianl poster to that post over there at findmall. What coil then are you talking about the first one on the post, the round coil. you think i might be able to use that one and get more out of the automax?

I will take pictures of it as soon as i get it, I will post anything except pictures of my wife, well unless the price is right. But sure thing I will tear into it as soon as i have it I'm thinking Tuesday i should have it.

thanks for photos. I do not note differencies there... nothing new on V4 vs V2... it reminds me a politics manner of Tesoro making all their models on one PCB...

so that means no mods for this version? Is there anything i can do to get just a little more out of it, other than maybe messing with some new coils for it or will i just waste wire and rods?

I decided to mod it a little i wanted to make a wand type of thing, so i cut off the handle, and then added some wire i got from a CB mic, when i put it all back together it won't work correctly, i made sure that i connected the wires correctly, so my question is the wire that is used for the CB mic is that the problem? can i only use the magnetic wire with this? i would really like to make this a wand can it be done? thanks for looking.
