I just picked up an old Garret ADS deepseeker VLF/TR detector. It turns on and the analog meter works when detecting a target just fine. However the sound output from the speaker and the headphone output is not working correct. It will make a thump sound and slight chirp when scanning targets but I cant get a threshhold hum and a good sound from it. The thump is very low sound and the chirp is low also. I pulled the board and see no visable signs of burnt parts and no burnt or cut circuits on the board. No loose wires. When we first got it it was not putting out any sound now that we have been playing around with it we have the mild thump and chirp. It has a full load of brand new battery's.
Do you guys have any ideas? The circuits look very simple.
Thanks for any help.
