    dear georgi:
    i have make pcb that posted by mollax but it is didn;t work and the IC 4053 is become hot ,i wonder if the circuit of mollax is correct or there is an error in it ,pls advise.
    if there is and modification pls tell me.

    regards

      PSG

      dear mollax ,
      hi
      are you sure the pcb of psg g on this page attached are correct ,i have made it and i do all volts and signals but the circuit is not work correctly .
      and the depth sometimes give me 20cm maximum and discrimination is not working.pls tell me which circuit exactley you have made and if the circuit is correct give me the signal oscilloscope can i take it from components
      if there is an error in schematic pls point it .

      Regards

        Hi aljacoub

        -PULS STAR-G light is Miniature of PULS STAR-G With the same results.
        -the schemartic True - you should get exactly the volts of the project.
        -Must read all the information , you will find everything you want in
        http://174.132.129.189/~moreland/for...ad.php?t=10894
        --Should be compared between your hand PULS STAR-G light and the project PULS STAR-G, which read.

        {discrimination is not working}
        -Must then compare all the settings to get the discrimination of metals
        -Comparison of figures will be known and variable resistors (RV5 ,RV6,RV7,RV8,,,,,,,,,,12) that have the same so that you can use the correct settings.
        - the signal oscilloscope in Page 8.

          Hello to All
          Long ago, I made this this modified version of Mollax.
          Apparently you need an inverter stage between U7: A and U8: B.
          In the current scheme, when metal is detected, the signal at base of transistor Q8 is positive value (+) and as I have understood to be negative (-).
          To my knowledge, in the current version was discontinued several stages that had the task of performing the function of "reset".
          If we follow the path of the signal on these missing steps, watching the original version, we can see that it ultimately suffers a reversal of the signal.
          So I think you need the addition of an inverter stage, so it reaches the VCO with the correct polarity (negative value).
          I apologize if I made a mistake or am I wrong in my deductions.
          regards
          Jose

            Greetings to you Jose---

            -Must be observed in the responder of aljacoub PULS STAR-G light by modified version of Mollax ------ is working weak Deep project and not working on the discrimination of metals due to the tuning procedure of the variable resistors are well .This means that the path of the signal on these missing Complete.

            ------ I made PULS STAR-BG for a long time ----- It works completed efficiently . either compared only the schemartics ---May be a mistake in the setting of non-precision variable resistors ---- Is this what you required Inverter ,This to try your idea (Can be done separate).
            Expected result.

              hi all
              firstly i have changed oscillator 555 circuit to make 120-200hz frequency and pulse width 150-400 mikrosecond , i have successed like in the picture .now when i detect object only led ferrous become on without speaker sound and without microampere still zero.
              i will make negative stage for your idea jap i will put my result also.

              if anyone have made mollax correct i still wait

              regards

                Hi Jap. Thanks for the comments.
                May be as you say, another reason why the sign is reversed.
                This project worked well for me, with the addition of two inverters made with TL062, one for the audio channel and one for the discrimination, but I think for the disc, it could reverse the LED and the milliammeter.
                Never finish the project, ie, only proved the desk.
                I had problems also with the incorrect adjustment of the preset frequency and pulse width at 555, if possible should check the correct operation with the oscilloscope.
                I mention this because it may be ultil to aquelos who are having problems with this MD.
                Cordial greetings.
                Jose

                  Hi aljacoub
                  there are 2 channels with different delay. ferrous - no ferrous
                  the setting of variable resistors RV5,RV6,RV,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
                  RV5 adj--->max gain of U4 PIN 6 =+0.2V
                  RV6 adj--->ferrous channel
                  RV8 adj--->no ferrous channel
                  RV7 adj---> in half
                  RV9 adj---> tune
                  Note ----- high sensitivity settings

                  Hi Jose
                  for 555 do as aljacoub for adjustment of the preset frequency and pulse width .
                  - the LED and the milliammeter not reversed.

                    Hi jap
                    you said you have made PULS STAR-BG do you have the schematic and layout drawing in protues (isis and ares).

                    i have the schematic on protues pls confirm is that one is correct and the same you have build.

                        dear georgi
                        i have finished pulse star bg and the result is good ad i have test on 50cm coil about 1.2meter approx but there is small problem .the diode of not ferrous red led is always on ,i wonder is it normal since when i put near metals it is want to be flashing.
                        i want to calibrate all the device as correct pls tell me how can i do it and do it with coil or not .

                        regards
