  • thank you for your help FunFinder
I already send an email to the address but no response from them.
I do not understand electronics, the best average is send the device to Makro detector factory in istanbul and wait .
I give you news as soon as it will be the new.
    good luck!

      • Hi maimoune,

hope you will get soon reply from makrodetector and you can send them the box for repair.

The electronic box is real tough, you can even shock-frost it and it works without problems.
The coils are secure against rain or wet grass etc. but not water-proof enough to dip them under water.

But I doubt it's moisture inside the coils resonance tuning circuit box
usually such an issue only would lead to a temporary failure and
after drying it everything would work fine again.

But I hope its fully dry now inside and you can improve the water-proof issue
by using water-resistant glue at the ouside of the coils cable box like I did.
Good luck that everything will be ok soon, I'm waiting for your news.

Hi, I have done it for him and reposted them.
You please may delete his extremly oversized files, thanx!

                @ maimoune

Hello, really please post next time smaller sized pictures so we can see them
completly in the browser at around 1280 pixel or below screen width.

It would take ages otherwise if someone reads this page with a smart-phone!

Well, seems the coil is alright inside, as long as you didn't ripped off any cables.
But you must not open the complete coil, just only the part with the plastic screws
where the coil-cable leads into the coil to see if there is some moisture or water.

Good luck that your Jeohunter will be soon working again.
If you are living close to Turkey perhaps you could visit makro-detector at Istanbul directly
                for receiving very fast help.

Have a great treasure-hunting time always!

I recognized that the single white cable is ripped off.

This is not good and perhaps it has happended while the coil was opened.

Below you see a plan at what location it has to be resoldered.

If you can't do it by yourself, please print the below drawing on paper and give it to someone
who can do it for you and who can find the correct soldering-location spot.

It is not very complicated to find it on that small single sided pcb.
You even may see a little piece of ripped off wire at that soldering point.

                  good luck.

                  • Thank's FunFunder
No ,my freind cut the white cable, and we see the message search head is not determined was disappeared, but the detector not detected anything.and when he resoldered the cable jeohunter give message that search head is not determined.
I think the problem comes from the box.
                    Best Regards

                      • thx Qiaozhi for deleting the over-large pix.

                        maimoume,

if that determination problem did occured with all 3 coils
it is pretty clear that the box is the reason why,
because not all 3 coils would be broken or wet inside etc.

How did you open the 1m coil?
And can you fix it again?

Well, from Algeria its some distance to Turkey,
but I guess your land is pretty interesting for treasures and 2nd world war relics.
I think there are some deserts in Algeria so the 1m coil would be perfect to look through the huge sand masses.
You even could drag the coil there without any wheels, just by some flat sliding device
directly over the ground or dunes, if the sand is not too heavy mineralic.

Bye and good luck to fix the 1m coil.

yes, the box unit system faillure, not the 3 coils .
very easy to open all coils ,it's fixed with black glue selicone only , and easy to fix agine .
Yes we have here in my country meany places treasures .
We have in our desert gold nuggest but we can not hunt .

                          • hello maimoune

thank you for the information - i'm shure you will make the 1m coil whole again sucessfully.
But you know for the 1 m coil you have to find 2 cm diameter gold-nuggets (aka bonanza's) minimum! Or huge gold-rocks!

If the Jeohunter 3D Box repair doesn't work perhaps you go for the new makro-detector DeepHunter.
It is really depth-improved and can find relative small 1 Euro coins at air tests up to 57 centimeters.
From reliable sources I know its now also for coins deeper than ANY other detector in the world!
Not just in air, but mainly under ground, too!

Of course you need good experience and skill to distinct the minimal borderline signals out of the "abyss" or "noise chaos"!
The DeepHunter is even more precisly than the JeoHunter concerning electronical stability.

The only problem: perfectionism many times has a slighly higher price in this sub-optimal world that the fast an dirty way!
But one of the big meanings in life is constantly improvement, otherwise we still could sit in caves relaxed around the fire!

                            good luck

Makro Detector built very big and heavy coils , I can't carry around, they must change their coils.

                              • hi maimoune

if you have already some reputation and if you are able to provide good work,
all doors might be open for you to find treasures, especially in Algeria where many things go special ways
If you really wanna be a serious treasure-hunter, many possiblilities will be start to be available for you...

Below you can see my newest "invention" - the 1m Jeohunter coil should be moved the broad 1m side along,
that way the large DD signal will reaches a much wider area and you can move over a huge area in a much faster time.

But I found out that at least a 3rd little plastic wheel is need for better weight balancing:
the 2 wheels located inside the front space of the coil and the next 1 or 2 wheels inside the 2nd one.

Its possible with 2 wheels, but that way - if the coil is good balanced - it must be located in the middle and the coil then is 20 cm above the ground.

So perhaps the best would be a directly 4 wheel plastic move-bottom solution - usable broad and lenght side together.

In my case I will check out for a 3rd wheel which is attachable separate.
Anyway - if you own such a 1m coil - don't make your hunting painful - use a wheel device! - and you can hunt over huge areas in no time!

No "simple planned" PI-pipes 1m coil will be able for this. But be careful, the wheel-device has to be a certain level of stability - around 4mm thick plastic
and good connections and tight ropes etc.

If we are lucky, Makro-Detector at Istanbul will produce such a wheel-roller, real improved, even for deserts and stony woods - with broad tires etc.

Its just the beginning anyway - this is also confirmed by persons who are a long time in this business - makro-detektor is on a very good way
and really deserves any serious ment support. They have now already the high sensitive lightweight real large 50cm coils for extra depth and to
cover huge areas in no time, which is very important, too. There are huge square-mile sized sites to "crack" anywhere - with finds up to 10m depth...

                                Good luck and never forget:

Motivation can became much more worth in (your) life than money or gold !
