Jeohunter - Visual Ground Scanner

Yeah, would be very interresting how the Jeohunter compares in Australia.
If there is a massive wall of steel every MD would fail to see whats behind.
So it depends how strong and mixed mineralic the area is and that the
coils size matches the targets.
If it is very important for very deep finds that the detector has a very good
signal noise ratio of course this is especially no easy task with huge coil
if the ground consists of "varying detectable stuff" itself.
But to make the ground "blurred" by motion circuits has the same result
like lowering the sensitivity of a detector. And here we enter the world
of subjective tastes. Some like just digital beeps and other like to hear
the background "snap crackle and pops". Some find automatical motion
ground layer compensation very useful and other prefer to press a reset
button if there are heavy mineralic changes in soil.
If PI really would penetrate the ground that easily, it would have much
better depth compared to the Jeohunter but this isn't the case because
the PI coils are not that complex and the eddy current echo detection
is an area where alot of errors can occure like overdriving and timing.
However - I'm interrested in all good detectors - I'm not fixed to the
Jeohunter - it's just a super depth detector that can find little stuff
also and cavity and can recover very fast because of the large coil -
but I am absolutly interrested in any good working detectors from
the electronical / technical point of view.
So I wonder if it would be possible to built an improved PI that
works with DD coil? Eventually the coils would change in activity -
this could double the sometimes very low recovery speed and it
could lead to better ground elimination, too. And how far are the
actual efforts getting disc. for PI without magnetometer-support?
Because what counts overall is the whole package. Hunting for
very small gold nuggets in an area without other metal is great
with a MD that is specialized for the high mineralisation and uses
a pretty small coil but it's no more big fun on a trashy beach.
Finding out how sensitive and deep a detector really works is
pretty simple by using very large coil and small buried object...

DD Coils on a PI ???
Are you sure?
I have built a TwinLoop design from ETI, which has overlapping coils, but they are round.....not nulled.
I know that some PI machines use two coils, but of the ones I have seen, nulling was never a thought, it was just to allow earlier sampling of the received signal.
For the Twinloop I built, it allowed the detector to ignore radio programs and other transmitted electrical noises that some PIs pick up.
Not that I am a PI expert, far from it.......
Perhaps someone else could jump in with some technical thoughts in this area....I am always prepared to be wrong when a full and proper expalantion is available....

Andy

Need help Funfinder
Hello Funfinder (and everyone with a Jeohunter),
I have the Jeohunter 3D Dual System, and I kinda know how to use it, how to make ground balance. But when I search, sometimes I get gold from metals. Is this normal or is there something with my Jeohunter. And have you ever gotten this "problem". Can it be used to find for example 14K gold? And its maybe not the best place to ask you this, but have you ever found gold with it? And can you explain how you make your ground balance, do you need to take the ground balance and divide the ground balance by 2. So if you get 10 ground balance, you need to divide it by 2, so 5, and then press the + or - button depending on what the Jeohunter says. And is it dangerous for the Jeohunter if the search head (coil), if a couple of drops get on the search head (coil), and dust. That's all.
PS. My first discovery was an bullet from 1917, and if someone knows, there is a lion and a capital letter A on the bullet. Does someone know from witch country it is. It is right after the first World War. I found it in Macedonia.
Thanks,
MKD33.

The loop configuration of Crone's is not the best design. Note that for pinpointing they use different coil arrangement. An induction balanced oOo or DOD loop configuration can outperform all other coils when you serch for small targets. Large deep buried targets need large coils, but Sharky achieved enogh depth with normal coil diameters.

However, nulling the coils will prevent the pre-amp from being in saturation for the same length of time as a mono, and allows the RX coil to have a greater number of turns, thus increasing sensitivity.

you first setup must can balancing your geohunter if you don't balance you device your detector when search Error occurs and you learn balance is not true.i learn right balance for you ::you power on your detector and so select your language ,your system go to the ground balancing and you must keep your search coil 40cm over ground so detector show the ground number for example 110 so you must press reset button and must down slowly your search coil to The land and you listen your detector sound and see the graphic bar in right side if your detector, sound and graphic show Positive(+ or Like when detect metal) you must keep search coil over 40 cm ground and press + button so again slowly your search coil to The land and listen detector sound if When search coil keep over3cm over ground and you don't listen any sound + or- your device is balancing ------if you keep search coil over40cm ground and you press reset button so you down slowly your search coil to The land and listen Negative (_ or like when detect void) appears you must keep search coil over40cm ground and press _ button so again slowly your search coil to The3cm land and listen detector sound if No sound is heard your detector balancing you must Should it do so When you are close to the ground does not have any effect + or -

It sounds like you would have to start detecting early in the day, as it would take until lunchtime before you achieved ground balance.

Geohunter is a best metal detector. a very good manual ground balance and auto balance.when you detect a metal at the same show's size and depth of metal in the oscilloscope Monitors
there is no video even with these things, i mean to say no real ground video....! only pre-prepared soil and pseudo tests!

27
8. “+” veya “-“ tuĢlarına bastıktan sonra arama baĢlığını yerden 40 cm kadar yukarı kaldırın ve “RESET” tuĢuna basıp, tekrar arama baĢlığını yerden 5-10 cm yukarda tutarak zemin etkisini gözleyin, zemin etkisi hala devam ediyorsa “+” veya “-“ tuĢlarına basarak etkiyi gidermeye çalıĢın.
9. Eğer zemin etkisini gideremiyorsak Hassasiyet seviyesi bir kademe düĢürülerek yukarda anlatılan iĢlemler tekrarlanır.
10. Zemin etkisi giderildikten sonra “ONAY” tuĢuna basarak Arama Moduna geçebilirsiniz.
