        • Jeohunter Cable Connection Diagram

This is the complete and full diagram -

now I have opended the 1m coil connector
and where the cable is attached at the coil.

The thick black cable has an additional coax
shielding which is not connected by default,
but perhaps the performance would be better
if this shielding also is connected to ground
(to Pin B). Perhaps sometimes I will test it.

          • Congratulations geo-i !!!

            Hi geo-i!

Fantastic! This is very good job and best possible solution!
            Full respect !!!
You made best idea now really working! Absolut Perfect!

And very good you have been very careful.

Yeah - your LiPro Balance Charger seems to be really good!
But always check correct polarity before connecting and loading
            - otherwise the charger could be damaged.

You built my described ( Jeohunter accupack original) connection?
            __-- -[- 3.7liion +]-[- 3.7liion +]-[- 3.7liion +]-[- 3.7liion +]-+__
            ....-- -[- 3.7liion +]-[- 3.7liion +]-[- 3.7liion +]-[- 3.7liion +]-+

With Lithium-Ion or polymer balance charger it would be possible to charge every single cell directly which is a little bit better for the cells but you would need wires for each cell or a special loading-housing for the single cells.

The "Balance" means that the voltage and loading state of each cell is as good as in the same state/condition but the difference is not that big if you charge 4cells or in our case 2 times 4 cells in series.

The original Jeohunter accus are not balanced and I never had any problems.
Those packs are still the same powerful as they've been 2 years ago.

            Thank you for the Pictures!
I see you have 100% fully charged batteries now! Thats great!

If you like you can test how many hours the Jeohunter can work with the accus.

And now you can try to built a second accu-pack or you can buy one of those very powerful packs for radio control helicopters etc. with 14.8 volts.

But the accu you have now is perfect because you can attach it directly at it's original place within the Jeohunter.

You are really very cool! Because only very few people dare to open closed lithium-ion packs and "repair" them!
And your 6000mAh accu-pack now is plus 50% more powerful than the original one!

Very good work , much luck and please give us more info and pictures!

            • Hi funfinder,

you seems like joehunter very much, I want to ask you do you live in Turkey and are you selling joehunter?

if yes, what is the price?

I am thinking to buy jeohunter but some people told me that it will not reach half the depth it mentioned in its' website.

did anyone test it another funfinder?

I think the best American detectors as I said in web are garrett gti 2500 and white's v3i, but did anyone test jeohunter and these metal detectors? let us compare between them.

I want detector that have large deepth, working in rocks, has good discrimination and visual image for what you are saying in the ground.

Why don't compare metal detectors to see what is the best in the world by these specifications?

Please every one give us his experience with his metal detector.

                • Hi Hisoka,

here is the first answer to you:
                  http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=11

                  Your other questions:
I'm not from Turkey and I don't sell them.

Comparing all detectors and choosing the best one sounds simple but in reality it is not.

It depends on experience, personal detection favorites like analog signals or digital displays, what you wanna find especially, soil conditions, used coil-size, time-learning curve, money, prefered search-methods, special locations and more.

As example I bought the Garrett GTI 1500 (and modified it so the coil & holder has alot of weight less now) for very steep mountains and woods because the Jeohunters standard 45cm coil under such conditions simply is too heavy and my search-sessions lasts for many hours!

But I prefer to use the Jeohunter for usual woods, battle-fields and relic-hunting at high mineralized ground because there are high-voltage wires and the Garrett GTI 1500 (and I'm shure this is the same with the 2500, too - btw. same problem with 3 other MDs I have) loses 50% of sensitivity there or even 70% because of the mineralisation!!

The Jeohunter has the things you wanna have (as example visual image) but we need more info what you like to find, under which conditions (what sites) you are searching, are you new to treasure-hunting and stuff like this.

                  Good luck.

                    • How can nobody wanted to pull at the unit. This topic is not worthy of study because there is more business than a hobby and interest. These projects are designed for the buyer, not the ham (especially that little understands the principles of operation of the detector), so do not waste time bill of exchange .... A closed lock at nothing to spit, it will not open!

I am working in rocky conditions most treasure in my country are inside rocks because old people was putting their treasure in rocks because they were build rocks from materials we don't know like we build buildings from cement now a days.
I need it to detect both cave and gold in high depth not less 6 meters.

I wand also to ask about okm cave finder what is the max depth of it, did any one test it, what is the smallest volume of cave it can detect, is it accurate ?

is there any devices other than okm, makro group and nokta detectors that can detect caves?

please if there any let me know.

                          • @ geo-i
Now the shovel is super stability improved and: it uses the short fiberglass pole of the Jeohunter's holder which fits perfect! It's 22cm while the other part is 26cm and the weight's only 365 grams.

                            @ Hisoka
Thx for the info. There are existing some cavity detectors but those can not detect metal and I have no additional info for OKM cave finder.

For the stuff you wanna find the Jeohunter would be first choice because it is very sensitive to detect even minimal differences between rocks, cavity and metal.

                            But you need experience!

Because there is no automatic ground elimination which eliminates everything below small rusty iron and makes it easy for newbies but destroys detection of cavity or some meteorites and mineralic.

But this is desired and needed so you are able to distinct between usual ground mineralisation, metal, cavity and other stuff that alters the EM-fields.

The coil is very stable for rocky sites. High mineralisation no problem and if you are looking for caves or graves etc. such ground is much better because of the higher contrast.

As example if the Jeohunter is reseted to zero (quiet state) and you are standing above solid mineralized ground and now move over an area with cavity 50cm below your feet you can find it very easy. Deeper cavity needs more experience and also if there are alot special high mineralized hot rocks.

Because the Jeohunter will find a single hotrock brickstone from around 1m distance and if buried in non-mineralised soil this would be a cavity signal.

If the treasures are hidden inside of mineralized stones or burnt clay you may detect them as cavity first if those rocks are very large.

However in that case you shurely would find them!
The Garretts can't penetrate thick layers (10cm and more) of heavy mineralised soil, bricks or rocks! No chance.

And if you have time read a bit through these pages to get an overview how the Jeohunter works. As example check out the buried cache test from me and the depth results of ishtar hunter (grave @ 250cm depth):

                              • Hi geo-i!

Thx. Yeah, such a lightweight mini-shovel is perfect. 43cm complete.

                                This was the original:
                                http://www.militarism.ro/en/lopeti-l...-cu-capac.html

but it was almost flat (no stability while digging), not very durable
(shovel broke off) and the weight was near the double - 680grams.

                                Here are more mini shovels:
                                http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/mini...ng-shovel.html
You can buy one and also improve it!

                                btw:
If you have modified your Jeohunter holder can you post picture, geo-i?
