  • ARADO 120 SCH& PCB

    Hi all
All you have heard for "Myth " arado120.
I make this two years ago, with fine results and new design PCB . This machine has voice for all metals and Ameter for discrimination. With this method, we can heard a detection target and with eyes, we can see dicrimination
Here is sch diagram without errors and full analytical PCB (101,60mm X 81,28mm) without errors too. The next post i publish infos for (how make Tx-Rx coil). My machine work with O-O coils 20cm diametre and detect a euro 36cm distance on air, a box 20cm X 20CM 95cm distance on air . Maybe with D-D coil is better... we want try for this. In practice never i use, only inside laboratory. Easy make PCB, with easy coils and difficult calibration "null".
I don't answer questions, why I believe this is very analytical, only you want make PCB.. put parts and finish
In next post I will present photo's, Method of calculations coilsand method calibration "null"
    I wish good success
    best regards
    Andreas

thanks brodhy andreas for files, the arado is old but in any things superior to modern tegnologies

If you want have "excellent" results, you should be manufacture coils with fine resonate - tune.
For this MD, you don't need at first step osciloscope, only a Freq-meter.
The "magic" frequency for this MD is oscilator work 4680Hz.
How we can this frequency of work?
Diametre Dcoil between 15-30cm is fine for this MD
Now a example. You have a form for make Dcoils diametre 25cm.
Put in this form 200turns copper-wire diametre 0,28-0,35mm. Diamtre copper-wire is not critical, but you cannot use <0,28 or >0,35. Now connect C19-Tx coil your Freq-meter. You see freq-meter example 3400Hz. You start now abstraction turns from Tx coil. In one point example -36turns you see Freq-meter 4680Hz. Thats all.
Only you should be know, how much turns abstraction, because the RXcoil should be have this formula. RXcoil(turns)=Txcoil(turns)+45turns. With this method, you have two excellent Dcoils for this MD
I think you understand well all steps for make easy this coils
          best regards

Very well Andreas. Exemplary of how to look good presented project .

You do not try to put RX coil in resonance (RXcoil(turns)=Txcoil(turns)+45turns.)?

Here some view on original (taken from web):

              Hi Andreas

Very nice work! I know Arado and this machine works great! I use it and is a very decent machine.

                Thank's WM6
My English is very bad and i cannot explain you, why must be use this formula. Only a example, maybe for this understand me.
If we find example Txcoil= 120turns then we must use 120+45=165turns from Rx coil.
Ofcource we must find C for RX coil for fine resonate. The formula use only from Arado Coil and new calc LC from receiver.
                Fine machine for full modifications

                  Thank you Esteban.
I don't forget this original schematic you sent me, if I remember well before three years.
Yes great machine, but i make use only laboratory
Now i think is time to make modifications for this. I am old man, only i "see", what can make new members with this machine
                  best regards

I understand your formula, no problem.

I am only interesting at which resonate frequency your RX coil is tuned?

At the same frequency as TX coil, mean 4680Hz, or a the other frequency?

                    Is this correct: resonate f RX = resonate f TX = 4680Hz?

Yes you are correct Rx coil resonate 4680Hz +/- 50Hz maximum.
You have long time explain this.
Very simple machine, very difficult coil housing, but... fantastic results
                      best regards

Nice pictures. Can you measure inductance of RX an TX coil?

This is not essential. Depending on the diameter coils and knowledge freq-osc
we have different induction for resonate osc-circuit .
Here we want osc work 4,68KHZ
Only we must be try for make out this freq.
