BD142 is NPN t03 case to 45v/15A at collector pin
2N3055 is NPN t03 case to 100v/15A at collector pin,PNP pair for 2N3055 is MJ2955.
The 2N3055 is higher rated an with similar case style,give it a try.a change to some of the descrete components in your circuit may need a slight change tho.this is unknown?
