  • Lobo Super Track ??

I have searched the posts and can't really find a good Tesoro LST schematic. Is there any?

    and also corresponding PCB?

Lots of TGSL but no LST stuff.

Also - one of the treads said all the Tesoro PCBs are the same except for a few changes. Is this really true?

The LST is a gold nuggest machine and the others are mostly coins etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Lobo ans

I don't know. Has anyone checked out this schematic, made a unit, etc. ?

      Thanks,

I would like to see the schematic LoboSuper Track with PIC-chip. Has somebody such schematic?

That's the original Lobo. The Lobo ST is a different design.

Well, interesting - as popular as the LST is for nugget hunting I am surprised no one has duplicated it. It has been around for quite awhile.

And a PIC controlled version would be even neater. A friend of mine last year paid a nice chunk of change for a new one. It would be nice to add one for the arsenal of MD gold machines that we could build.

In a way, it has been duplicated. Dave Johnson designed the Lobo ST. He also designed the MXT.

Carl, do you know it the published data in "Coil Parameters" for the Lobo is correct?

                http://www.geotech1.com/cgi-bin/page...oils/index.dat

To me, it just seems fundamentally wrong that a 10mH (and 51 ohms) transmit coil would be used with a 1.33mH (11ohms) receive coil.

The problem is, I can see no tank capacitor values in the schematic to work backwards from (given the 20kHz operating freq. for the "original" LOBO), neither in the transmit or receive circuits.

Of course, I am blind in one eye (and can't see out the other)!

                  thanks guru Carl

Many thanks Carl - so MXT os basically a LST. Lots cheaper for LST too!

So back to orig question. If MXT is basically the LST then is there a good clone for the MXT? You being an employee for Whites now probably can't answer that or get involved. Conflict of interest and all that, but thanks again anyway for info.

I don't know, never seen the LST schematic or code. But the same guy designed them, and they have a lot of the same characteristics. Many of those characteristics are in the PIC code, so even if you get a schematic you don't have the whole picture.

                      Yeah, probably those are backwards.
