  • HELP! Coinmaster TR Missing Battery Connector? (Photos Inside)

Hey all! I picked up a Coinmaster TR Series 2 at a thrift store today for $5 and brought it home to try and figure out how to get it to work.

It looks like it's missing a battery pack or wires to attach a battery (not to mention the actual battery indicator light itself). Am I SOL or is there some way I can repair/fix/hack something together to get this puppy up and running?

Here are some photos of the inside. It looks like 4 wires were disconnected. Any idea how to fix this? Is it as simple as getting a 9v battery attachment from Radio Shack and soldering it to the board? And which points do I solder it to?? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Your missing wires are as follows, from left to right on your picture:

    Red wire to Batt +

    Black wire to Batt -

    White wire to LED

    Black wire to LED

Yes, all you need is a 9V battery harness, an LED and 2 strips of wire.

I don't know which wire is Antode and Cathode on the LED but you have a 50/50 shot of getting it right on the first try. When you turn your machine OFF you should get a brief flash as it powers down.
    For $5.00 it's a good find!

When we were kids, my neighbor had one and he found LOTS of coins in a ballfield with one! I bought one on e-bay that's pristene for $50.00.

Wow! Thank you so much for your prompt and detailed response! I was hoping it would be a simple fix, so glad you confirmed it! I will probably even forgo the LED for now and just wire the battery up to see if it works. Shouldn't have a problem doing just the battery, right?

My guess is that it will work just fine without the LED.. It's only a low battery indicator.. Good luck!
