    Hi
You chose a very difficult project, if you do not experience it is better to make something easier. This is a very complicated device.
    Regards

Couldn't you find a MORE complicated detector for your first project??

Wait, I know what to do. You could build Fisher CZ6 and also Whites 6000DI clones!

                Hmmm, me?

Err, sometimes I write things late at night when I should really be sleeping.

I had not even looked at your project folder until just now. The original Whites 6000DI is very complicated according to my schematic (obtainable elsewhere on these forums) and the schematic you supplied is for a much simplified version. Your circuit does not look so very tough; and you might be able to turn one out successfully.

But you'll still probably need a factory coil. Note the lack of a tank capacitor in the transmit circuit on your drawing; that's because Whites includes that little goody on the inside of their coil housing. If I am not mistaken.

edit: Remus, Maybe I didn't find my schematic here. I did not find one one after a quick search.

If you can't find the full 6000DI schematic here on Geotech1 I could email one to you, but I don't think I should post a Whites factory schematic here.

Maybe you should compare the two different versions to see what has changed and try to figure out why.

It seems to me like there are some easier first projects around here but if you want to knock yourself out, nobody here will stop you.

Hi porkluvr, thanks for the help. I try to build a detector performance somewhat, VLF, not necessarily W 6000, but I have not found the forum or completed detector.

You have not found ?????? , Look better, a lot of projects here that are completely processed. I suggest to start: Bandido, Magnum or Serbian "Most Wanted". These are detectors that can relatively easy to make and have satisfactory performance.

Detector that can find peny at 25 cm depth was more than excellent detector ... for self-construction of such a detector is needed a lot of knowledge and experience.

TM 808 is not good for it, it is not PI, it is a TR metal detector designed for massive structures or cavities.

I changed my mind, I build a Whites Surf PI seems to have been built by several users of geotech, with good results. I will post the final result.
