  • Soils lab equipment suppliers

I´m currently trying to set up a soils and concrete laboratory, therefore I´m getting quotes from different suppliers for all the necessary equipment. So far we have narrow it down to "Durham Geo Slope Indicator" and "FORNEY", however I would like to find out more about the quality of their equipment.

Does anybody have any comments about this? or, Other ideas to make the best choice on suppliers?

Also, if anybody knows other suppliers that have great quality, good service, and not so bad prices, please let me know.

    Thanks!

Geoenginner, I searched the WEB for "geoengineer" and "geoengineering" (with double "e" instead your double "n") and found a bunch of information, but don't understand what parameters of soil and concrete should measure your laboratory.

Agreed, depends on what you want to study.

mikebg sorry about the double "n" issue, I miss-typed "Geoengineer", and when I realized it, it was too late to change my username, however this username is not the name of the company I work for.
The laboratory I´m refering to will perform simple soils tests, such as, Atterberg limits, Sieve analysis, Proctor tests, Unconfined compression tests, permeability tests, CBR tests, consolidation tests, etc. And also, concrete compression testing.
Thanks for your reply, hope that with this answer you can help me out.
