  • Pinpointer shielding question?

Is there any way to shield a pinpointer so that the final half inch is all that reads?

I am not a electrical guy, but looking on the internet I find info about Faraday shielding, some kind of paint to shield from signals and a multitude of other stuff that I don't understand.

I just want something simple like a sleeve of some kind that I can slide on the pinpointer.

    Thanks in advance.

Faraday shielding should shield against electrostatic and capacitive effects with minimum effect on the EM field. If you make the shielding strong enough to start blocking the EM field, you will likely reduce sensitivity significantly.
