To anyone who has built a Delta Pulse PI detector:

    How does it perform?
Is ferrous rejection possible with this detector? If so, how good is it?
What coils have you used, and what depths were achieved?

Hi Qi built several Deltapulse in the end :1.they are good but not so excelent in performance suitable for under 2m target depth.2.infact no ferrous rejection ,it detects ferrous at all timetest for large targets 50 cm * 80 cm *1cm steel plate :3. D= 25cm depth about 90 cm D= 45cm depth about 130 cm loop 1m * 1m depth about 210 cm loop 2m*2m depth about 250 cmloops tested in manual mod according the KT315 manual diagrambut it's very good detector for studing how PI worksI love it

Qia, you have did see my photos I gave. DP with 1m 'ramka' coil is better on deep than TF900, when DP is still seeking a target at lake bottom TF900 is blind! I use with 1 m ramka coil only on winter, testing in room with basket coil. thinking the ferrous rejection is possible as DP has MAIN DELAY tuning. i agree with Alex that it is very good detector for studing how PI works.

        Thanks Great_Alex and kt315.
What depth do you get for a 1 Euro coin with the 25cm diameter coil?

          hi kt315,
with my DP now 1m*1m it detect big target at 2.20m , but the probleme also detect the target beside at 50cm is it normal?
          REGARDS.................raff33

oh my god... you must read any info on antennas' theory... you draw so called SIDE or SECONDARY LOBE. not to be so narrow band... read more, as possible, the books on electronics. I am not theorist... I am practician... for me it is VERY clearly why your coil sees offside targets. ANY coil sees the targets, not only your 1m ramka coil. some people use this feature FOR PINPOINTING of target if you turn your coil on 90 grad you will get to pinpoint!

Delta press has good sensitivity, this is in my opinion for its automatic mode, allowing operation at higher gain, while keeping the speaker in silence.
Roll 45 X 45 cm, got good results with computer network cable. Conductor of four pairs, eight drivers to be 24 laps (8x3 = 24 return).
The buffer R is 680 ohms or less.
Improvements can be obtained with coils of rapid responses by altering the corresponding circuits for a shorter time delay. Of course, increases the problems of land and mineralized ground effect.
Apologies do not speak English, only the translator.

Qiaozhi, Delta is a deeper, do HH for 25sm coil, if you so need in coins. Delta works on more long MAIN DELAY than PI made especially for coins. Eric Foster did extra sensitivity detector, you have read this his message, to small targets decreased MAIN DELAY to only 5usec... Delta works to start from 40-50usec MAIN DELAY. confer. that will be very unoptimal for coins. you certainly able/can decrease MAIN DELAY in Delta... it is not problem... but DP was projected predominantly as a deeper, for deep big targets like meteorits, tanks, tubes etc.

Hi to allAll we know that's a good detector maybe the best open source PI some test with 25 cm coil :brass coin with 24 mm diameter detects at 31 cm brass coin with 19 mm diameter detects at 26 cm nickle coin with 26mm diameter detects at 21 cmall in manual modein automatic mode it has reduced depth about 5 cmbut the automatic mod is very better for detecting , for best result manual mod only on large coil and pinpointing .
