  • OKM Rover CII New

A few weaks ago I bought a OKm Rover CII. I wanted to find some tunnels and cavities, but after we checked certain areas we found out that the device canĀ“t pick up signals of tunnels deeper than 3m. We went to a cave we knew and used the CAVEFINDER function. Result: CAVE=NO! Then I went to another cave-same result.
The next step was to go to a tunnel we knew and scanned it with the "GROUNDSCAN" function. We expected to see a greenish bit (solid ground) then a bluish bit(tunnel we crossed) and afterwards another green part! But we saw at the VISUALIZER 3D software just blue dots, lines. Some yellow and green parts. We did several scans-always the same result!
Now I found your forum and read that OKM is crap:-((((
Could it be that I did some mistakes or is it just because the machine is so bad??????
Is here someone who had the same problems, or has someone tried an action against OKM???

they are not taken their detectors back. it is their main rule. I have wrote about that time ago... yes, OKM is sh-t, Jeohunter is sh-t... what you want in our world full of naive people with big money cash? think before... ask before... if you pay for crap these people in OKM goes here and advertice their sh-t here in GEOTECH, because they has got your money on Internet work in full-time-active-online-desk mode. what really you can do against this cancer like encephalitis tick bite in the body of GEOTHECH? nothing, my friend. there is hard politics of the forum - not delete the ticks from the body despite the body is still alive or had died.

I already asked him! They told me I have turned the probe and I should use more space in between the lines. IĀ“m from Germany and I think if they sell crap and tell things about this machine which arenĀ“t true it is beguilement, isnĀ“t it! So I have to go to a lawyer!
Has someone the same experience like me or am I the only idiot who bought this machine?????? Obviousely they sell lots of those things, shouldnĀ“t there more people like me???
So is the Rover C II from OKM capable to locate caves? YES or NO! Easy as the cavefinder function:-)

                OKM Dealer

Gday there, by what you've written. You clearly have not read the manual or failed to grasp the simplistic instructions in there. I have been using OKM products for 7 years with 100% success and am now the OZ/NZ dealer.

Everything I have been contracted to find I have found. You need to read the manual and follow it letter for letter every time. Get out there and survey known targets rather than blame the manufacturer.

You have the best technology on the planet and going to a forum for answers says to me you haven't read the manual or manufacturers instructions.

Don't slag off OKM due to your ineptness at basic assimilation of advanced technology. If you are not smart enough to operate the equipment then hire someone who is.

I can be contacted at [email protected] for me to instruct you on your device or to operate your device for your projects. Thanks, Jake

I thought it was ordinary magnetometer!? Wasn't it? To be called "best technology on the planet" it must be way more advanced technology than magnetometer! Agree?

Also there is pretty frequent use of term "radar" in OKM presentations!? I see no real "radar" there in their list of products!? The heck; those are magnetometers, resistivity meters.. and few LRL charlatans devices like "Bionic Alpha.... XYZ" etc..etc... So? Should we take OKM as serious manufacturer; considering all those lacks in their claims? People from this forum are capable enough to make pretty descent magnetometer (EPE for example), so why wasting so much money for (same performances) OKM product?
Aham! Maybe because of the "radar" word in all those advertisements!! I see!

                        factless opinion

You're entitled to your opinion. I'm not here to persuade you. Your comments have no bearing upon the devices abilities or the line up of customers wanting them. Please continue to chastise and sling your blinkered comments on this forum. Your mum would be so proud of you! I'm heading out to survey for a client now.

Gday there Ivconic you blessed guru, some of the devices have a magnetometer built into them as a mode to select when searching for targets. I claim the technology to be the best for what I use it for. There's many systems available on the market, ranging from basic to very complex.
I found OKM to be the best for my intended use and nothing currently commercially available comes even close to what this growing range of devices can do in LIVE 3D. I've used many systems over the years but these in my opinion are the technological best.

They are NOT Ground Penetrating Radar as people commonly refer to them as. They are deep detecting metal detectors.
