RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ASSEMBLY:
1. ISP connector is made by my programmer, check that the conclusions of his!
Programmed in a fully assembled circuit - was "pure."
2. Pad under the jumper, which is located between the hulls IRF9640, interferes with their installation - a drop of solder do not allow the cabinet "lie down" the whole plane. They can be a bit push a little farther apart the holes, or - I clipped a drop of a scalpel.
3. Contact us for display are derived under an external switch - such a proposal was on forum, to me it seemed competent, I will: - include not want to - do not include ...
4. Dotted rectangles with rounded edges - it's mounting brackets display served me reference not to be installed in these places "high" components.
5. Headphone jack is glued to the board supermomentom, and connected by wires to the SP1, SP2.
6. Two holes (diagonal) - one near the X1, the second - in the upper right corner - fastening display. Stand, screw ... it's simple. The remaining two holes on the display board - unused.
I think that's enough - not in the same space with him to fly ...
7. The meaning of "circumcision" C5, I think, is clear - its upper contact, "short" with the land.
8. The upper layer of fees - the solid earth. Special transitional contacts did - just to ends of the board are two jumpers "over the edge." Cheap and cheerful ...
Like everything ... any questions - write to the PM.

Which Detector would members like to see professional Pcb's of next ?
I'm tempted to make a TGSL, but I'm open to suggestions
I've listed a few options but I'm sure there are many more
And of course if you happened to have provided the winning pcb layout, and give your permission, a few pro pcb's will be coming you way !
Possible Pcb's : Tesoro TGSL, Tesoro Silver Sabre, Tesoro Bandido, Chance, ClonePi, DeltaPulse, Miner, Sascho Md, XL500, PI-111

I am not addressed but ... this is the way:
Send to Silverdog a PM and specify which PCB (HH or Surf PI - hope he has still both in stock) and how many pieces.
Then you get in return his PayPal email account and the amount to pay.
Best regards to you

Hello WM6
On the site from Ivica I saw a test you made from the PI detectors from Andy ?
Looks that there is not great sensitivity ....??
But it can be that I did not understand it al to well.
Can you tell us some more about the CHANCE detector ?
Best regards.

PI-Clone air test results posted there are not mine, but taken out of one of russian PI-Clone builders video.
As you say test show relatively modest depth to all PI-Clone, Chance inclusive.
Though nothing special regarding depth, we must know that techologies (like MPS) software incorporated in Chance show its advantages particularly on very heavy terrain (high mineralised soil). So, where other (primarily VLF) detectors lose their depth or even go out of work, Chance is capable to maintain their depth skills, or even show improved characteristic.
Because of that Chance's priority use is in field of gold prospecting on bad terrain (most gold-rich area are highly mineralised).
For other purposses better to use / build others proven VLF or PI detector.
This is why I am interesting in Chance - at the moment only DIY detector which incorporate some advanced technologies suitable in first line for prospecting. For 5gr nugget you can expect about 15cm detecting depth with suggested coil on heavy soil, plus working discrimination, which is good enough for me to decided to build it.
This is my opinion based on information available. I have no personal experience with Chance.
Best regards

Chance can be good on terrain where VLF detectors are going too noisy to be usable because of heavy mineralised soil (ferroceramic inclusive).

Hi Aq.
From my experience, if on "heavy ground" there are lots ceramics and iron then from PI detectors only the Lorenz, Minelab GPX and Whites TDI can ignore the ceramics and work good. The ancient ceramics are very different from the today ceramics.

No Decision on the next boards yet
Chance is tempting but no .lay or gerber files exist so I would have to create them, it would be nice to have andy_f permission but he is not responding to emails
TGSL is another possible, but the opposite problem here, many layouts exist
Eldorado is also possible
I have to stake a chunk of money upfront so I need to see some interest that I will recover a good chunk of that money,as yet not much interest beyond these suggestions has been shown
If I sell a few more surf pi this week I'll probably make a decision and place an order at the end of the week - it would be good to get them in before xmas, give us all a project for the holidays !

I think this Andy's invitation to all MD homemaker to build Chance without expressed limitation in how to get PCBs can be treated as his permission in this case.
There is no difference if I order PCBs from you or here from one of local supplier.
Andy's invitation:
