I just got a White's Coinmaster 1/DB Series 2 from my 78 year old mom. She had used it for many years. I wanted to "save" it from the junk pile or from someone walking off with it. Anyway, the metal detector works except that the Disc pot will not turn. I have removed it to try to find a replacement for it. It is a Centralab product with the part number- 121-0103-511. There is another set of numbers- 1348108. I realize this is an old detector. I thought it would be nice to restore it if possible. I have a couple of Garrett's I have used for years. Any suggestions? Thanks

Just replace it with a new one.
I had a 2/DB Series 2 with a 10" coil as my first White's detector and did a lot of Civil war
relic hunting with it (A Loooong time ago). It was very capable when you use the disc control to ground balance and just dig everything. I remember digging Minie balls at least 8" deep along with lots of nails!! Probably worth fixing.

mechanical 10 turn pot
If I remember right, those were 10 turn mechanical pots. Shoot some electronics cleaner around the knob shaft on the outside and inside of the detector. I'm guessing the factory lube in the mechanical turns reducer probably dried out.
