    hello all

    I want the scheme to boost the tesoro silver sabre
    C was a small rectangular module with switch
    which was added on top of housing
    see photos of the link
    What was its function ???????

    is that an amplifier was c ?????

    on what part of it was connected pcb ?????

    Boost

    On most of these Tesoro detectors there is a resistor, usually 1K connected to the bottom end of the sensitivity control. By shorting it with a switch, or switching in a lower value you get a bit more sensitivity. You also get a lot of chatter and false signals. I would not bother with it myself. On some UK Tesoro they took out this resistor and called it max boost or something. ( New model with max boost )

            small box

            The small box is probably empty. Just used to hold the switch. Nothing else inside. That extra control would be instead of the on board trimmer for setting the ground balance. This makes changing coils from 2D to polo and back easier.
