    Hi cristi71
Do you have any PCB for this detector and what is the test result?

    with many thanks

...when a coil with a diameter of about 1 meter detector can find the object the size of 25l karnistra for gasoline at a depth of 6m... .

have any one any experience with this pi detector?

          all the best

the language is polish (see domain ending of homepage adress .pl)

i can substract a jpg or similar but later this day

i think it is not meaned depth in sense of ground depth more like range in air
-but i dont tested it already

until end of march i can give you more info of finished project
my next is barracuda, tgsl, lucaslab pi, tiny pi (2nd) proscan, gary pi - i have the detector virus

the beeping sounds better than music

thanks my friend, awaiting for pcb
if it can detect 25 liter gasoline can in air, so it is better than Delta pulse and any other good MD.
i am going to build lucaslab MD.

              good luck my friend

could anyone link a video of his working chance detector?

                      thanks

                        IGSL

IGSL with Detech SEF 30*38cm for Tesoro 14-18 kHz
Idea from Ivica Conic, presented on Geotech Forum, Kits available from silverdog.co.uk
                        have fun.......
testing pieces: small copper layer pcb piece and a nipper
please note: i have to set ground balance trimmers and threshold trimmers better no more time this night ;-)

Hmm works well but still lacking depth overall I feel.

If these SEF heads are so good (which I don't believe they are ) then the depth SHOULD have been better (say around 30cm on €1) but it isn't, so my question is this....WHAT are we missing that is costing us depth?

If the schematics we are building are derived from "genuine" Tesoro ones, then WHY are we not seeing better performance from these "self build" machines?

I saw the Surfmaster kit in action on U-tube and AGAIN, poor performance. WHAT is the secret these manufacturers are hiding from us (with the Surfmaster by the way, the two 470nF caps on the integrators should be within 1% of each other so there's part of your problem there)!

Even if the schematics we are using are traced from the PCB we STILL get poor performance! Example.. Silverdogs Surfmaster PI kit (GREAT kit BTW Silverdog) with a GENUINE head I bought from Whites, set up the kit to give EXACTLY the same pulse delay, width, frequency etc as a REAL SM PI and guess what...At least 3 inches difference in detection depth. Maybe someone can explain, because I can't!

Maybe PCB design is the answer, impedance matching and design for low noise. Maybe the PCB's we are using are feeding back negatively and thus giving lower gain where it matters. Time to do more research!

yes i confirm that i have some trouble to do that unit
but its a problem of coil and my setting up
the sef coil seems to be undernulled (very low null voltage)
but i reacts o very smal units on a distnace i have never seen before
                              (maybe perfect for nugget hunting)
when i eleminate my mistakes i will give info
at moment i cant reject a ferrit rod by setting gb trimmers
seems that i have connectect coil in wrong direction....
maybe there are some little mistakes somewhere else
i have also seen a detection of an 2euro piece up to 50cm in air but some crackling and noise not good on field
the power is in this machine but it has set correct
thats my work for next days
but in moment i work on delta pulse (last steps)
to get my head free of vlf detectors
                              regards

when i look around this forum many people say they have working machines- so why do not make a video from them to look how they work.
It would be helpful to all.
So if you have time make a video upload it and place the link here.
                                Hi Bernte_one,

I finally got the video camera and the mood to show some air tests with the home made Hammerhead PI Detector. There is also some testing with what may be the simplest PI Detector, called Matchless.
