Yes the schematic. I would like to build a lighter and smaller battery box for the 4500.
I think there is a battery charger and maybe a audio amp in the factory battery box.
I am planning to use a smaller battery, external charger and headphones.

I know there are several aftermarket ones but I would like to go even smaller and lighter.

OK but why you need ML battery compartment schematic exactly?

If you use another type of batteries you need adequate charger to batteries you use and maybe ML charger solution will not suit your batteries.

First you need MD supply data (typical voltage + current) for your 4500. Then you go for some search for proper batteries solution (as much as you can find mAh at given voltage). If you get batteries with ecellent capacity (mAh) but voltage higher than required for 4500, you need additional voltage regulator (and maybe battery pole exange protector).

All needed schematic , for charger that suits your type of batteries and for voltage regulator you can find on web. You do not need ML schematic at all (even more: it can be unproper for your needs).
