  • very old bounty hunter TR-500

    Hello All;

    Someone gave me an old bounty hunter today. It's a TR-500 in exelcent shape. It has a ON/OFF/Vol. control

    and a tuneing control. The tune is a multi-turn pot.

    It works ,takes 8 AA batt. I played with it out in the yard, it picked up a piece of foil about the size of a dime at 4 inches. Trouble is it detects everything in sight. My question is does any one here know any thing about the unit. I checked the B.H. site but even in their "older models" section it was'ent listed. Thanks in advance

    In the late 70's BH (the old BH) had a trio of basic non-discriminating TR detectors, the 500, 600, and 700. Yours was the bottom of the line and retailed for $59.95. Not worth using, IMHO.
