Your original question was not whether to connect the coil to ground, but whether to connect the coil to B+ or B-. (Isn't that what you really meant?)

In the vast majority of cases that answer simply rests on whether using N or P devices because that will determine whether B+ or B- is connected to ground.

@ There are some but they are not a majority.
less than if the coil was connected to v+

Whaa? Suggesting that HH1 coil is not connected to ground? You're being absurd. HH1 coil IS connected to ground. Your arguments are senseless.

Well it seem your communications skills need a bit of work.

You keep changing what your asking.

Maybe we should just start over.

                          What are you asking?

                          Fet Use?

                          Grounding?

                          Shielding?

                            That's RIDICULOUS.

I'm sorry I said your argument was absurd, Mr. Troll.

i simple asked the question like before.is it best to have the coil connected to ground or v+?.from the replies i've had two ,seems to insist that it doesn't matter .i disagree one has got to be better than the other. From what i've learnt in my life there is always a better way.there is always a way around some obstacle or problem.i admit electronics is my secondary field but i have to question ideas that don't make sense to me.there is a difference between a pi coil connected to ground or positive .connected by which ever switch you are able to dream up.
