  • Hammerhead as a conveyor metal detector

    Hi to all.
I´m wondering if hammerhead or any other PI metal detector, can be use has a conveyor metal detector.
This is intended to detectec small metals on food at a distance of 1 to 3 inches.
So for that i was thinking to use hammerhead or may be another PI MD.
So if anyone can help, i will appreciate it.
    Regards
    Nelson

      Hi Silverdog

Yes i had seen that, and also ask Gary about it, but he tool me that for now, there is not a 100% succes.
I also try Whites Surfmaste kit (your kit), and made a small circular coil from computers network cable, 6 turns on a 17 centimeters form, then i connected only 3 wires, 230 uH, 1.6 ohms resistance.
With this coil i got 2 inches for a 1 inch long piece of nail. The problem is also that surfmaster must be in movement to detect it. So may be i will try later with Hammerhead.

A few days ago i request from you 2 more kits.

      Best regards and thanks
PD: i m waiting for your new Barracuda kit
