  • Basti you should take a look at detektorforum.de , there is a thread for the IGSL Musketeer.

I think you can use a 250 ohm pot if a 220 is needed. If you are not sure with the OP amps then its better to buy different types of them, they are not so expensive. One guy at detektorforum.de has used a MOS 4066 for his IGSL.

    • IGSL requires CD4066 because of supply voltage there. HC versions work up to 6V, and although they have somewhat better specs, you can't use them.
220ohm or 250ohm is all the same because normal values there are ~100ohm, and with both choices you'll get a proper value somewhere around middle.

Of all the mods, make sure you do the pin swap mod, because it rectifies an error. Everything else will work OK. I'm very happy with the rest of my mods, but it is also true that many people prefer binary sound, and shortened beeps. So if you like the way classic Tesoros or 1235 sound like, you don't need any other mods.

Hi Davor, what mean's exactly that pin swap? I maked mine time ago without any mod's and worked very good. Thank's

          • Pin swap mod rectifies a problem with Fe discrimination signal being unaffected properly by a threshold voltage (Disc Sens pot). After you apply the mod, the Fe signal behaves equally to the non-Fe signal, and you may also use a single pot to set the threshold.
The problem is not obvious with strong signals.

              • Hey guys I'm new to this forum. I've been reading tons of info on IGSL and TGSL. I don't see these in a kit form from SilverDog. Are they still available?

                    • Good afternoon, friends, radio amateurs! I collected the device board, wound the coils under the housing DD250mm:Tx-46 turns with 0.45mm wire, inductance 1.032mH, frequency 8.7kHz, capacitor 330nPx-176 turns with 0.25 mm wire, inductance 14.7 mH, frequency 10.8 kHz, capacitor 15nIt turns out that the frequency Px is higher than the frequency Tx by 2kHz, somehow it is wrong. Tell me, what frequency should be in Tx and Px with inductance 1mH and 14.7mH.Click image for larger version

just now i do especial tester for the coil and all same requests will take off in future. thank you for question. http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...of-coils/page2

                        • Nice work, looks good!
Tx is 14.5kHz and Rx is 16.12kHz.

This is for Tesoro coils, but he obviously made musketeer version -> ~8-9 kHz is ok...

Is there anybody that can share the IGSL Musketeer Davor ver. 4 May 2017 Part List with current components.

                              Thanks in advance
