  • Pulse Master Pro - a look inside & some questions

    Hello coleagues,

A have some unclear things about this md , i know that this type of pulse md must be kept at a certain distance above the ground when searching whit big coil. I have also a small coil that must also be kept high. Do you think if i use a shilded coil , it will lower the hight necesary to opertare it? , or improve/lower performance?

Second question, is this md a modified version of delta pulse or other popular detector? (i have athached some pictures for you)

    Regards,
    Soverey

      Nice work Soverey !!

Do you have front panel of LCD photo ? Also is that a switch under the right side potentiometer , of top photo where the 6 wires are connected ?

      Best Regards.............Eugene

not HH or DP. IMO it is something from Bulgaria. i see them lots now... they are based certainly on DP idea. interesting fact that they also did copy CLONE-PI

It is not a switch ,it is the audio jack , don't have a front photo of the lcd panel.

            Hello kt315 ,

I would like to build another coil for this md , do you know what inductance it should have?

oh oh oh... mine bald skull. Kozma Prutkov said "Nel'zja ob'jat' neob'jatnoje". i see this apparat first time in my life. i learn a matter only per your posts. measure a coil what you have with it and do similar one.

                    Hello

I have the Pulse Master Pro

The box came sealed, how you open, and WHY ???

Here the best formula for using the 36cm coil in mineralized soil:

                    Disc. 7
Sampling Delay, use allways in the minimum to avoid erratic signals and instability.
                    Sensitivity,uses in 2.
                    Treshold, 2

                    In the digital screen:
                    Disc. ON
                    VCO,ON
                    recovering speed,FAST

If you are using the 120x120cm square coil, use the same formula but put the speed in SLOW.
Like this you can work with the coils near the ground, and sensitivity in 2 seems enough for good depth penetration.

Delta pulse coils are not good for the Pulse Master, the PM Pro uses less oHms.

I noticed a worrying thing , it does not detect gold , a mean not small gold like rings , but a whole gold chain. (36 cm coil, tried all settings) It will detect other objects like a piece of stainless steel 10 x 5 cm , or small brash or copper coins, but not gold. Any sugestions on the probable cause ?

                      Thnx.

In first line this device is not projected for tiny gold prospecting. Second, your 36cm coil is about twice too large. Solution: use coil with smaller diameter, say 20 cm or less and you probably will catch your ring.

My Pulse Master pro detects all gold objects, even small rings. But rejects if i use more than stage 7 in discrimination.

Not believe that your PM pro is diferent, unless the electronics inside was touched or modificated.

The problem with tiny gold i have with the Sniffer XR71,but anyway is a good PI,specialy in mineralized ground.

Unfotunatly mine had this problem before I opened it(not just for small gold but also large....whole gold chain) I didn't made any mods or changes to the internal setings, yet. There are two cerment pots on the pcb ,i gues one is the pulse width and the second the secondary delay ? (not sure if i'm corect ) Can somebody say ?

Morgan , does your 36 cm coil have a huming noise (like that of a transformer) , mine has such a noise and i supose it is due to the wires being very close inside. Is this normal for a pi ?
