97386 is the zip code so not going to help much. On the left lug there should be a number stamped normal very faint. Can get worn off. Maybe if you post a picture someone on here could identify it. Buzzing in PP altered with threshold pot and quite in Disc mode is correct. Just test a working MD and get nearly 4 volts AC across the TX connectors

Hard to say,, try all of the usual stuff Do you have plus and minus 4 volts..
Do u have a scope or access to one can u measure thTx coil volts should be about 15v ac

Highly recommend silverdogs PCB good quality and 100% working. Could have made my own PCB but it's really not worth the effort. Just follow the values printed on the board to make an excellent metal detector. Everything work perfect.
