I had your problem. I took a photo of the board and printed it out. Wrote each component down the crossed it of the photo to make my own list. Unfortunately I did not keep a copy and the board has changed slightly again.

golfnut did an upto date schematic awhile back can't search very well at the moment as on a mobile

Carefully read all 117 pages. You will find circuits and circuit boards. Do not expect someone to give you everything for granted.

        • Unfortunately versions with all documentation have now been kept together.
I am just about ready to wire up the controls and found that picture but haven't
          checked it against my board.

I have this BOM listed as pertaining to the silverdog board (though there may have
          been 2 different ones);

          • Ok, question,

I just pulled out my second IDX PRO Kit from Silverdog (I had bought 2 kits last summer).
I found another new CAN OSCILLATING BUZZER - not a Clicking Piezo.
Is this what was INCLUDED in the kits ???

These do NOT make sense to USE - yes ?
They SELF Oscillate on their Own with only a HIGH DC Voltage ...

This is already driven by Oscillation fron the Circuitry.
I should be using a simple PIEZO or Speaker - YES ??

            • Well, I completed the second IDX PRO Board.

But, still no BEEP or Buzz yet - Nothing.
              Everything connected, Coils and all.

Shouldn't I get some BUZZ if I adjust the Pots right ?

              • It seems that all components look installed correctly, including Pots, Switches and Coils.

Are there any Bugs or Needed Mods for the Silverdog Board ?

Is there an image with a finished Board ?
                    - The above image has a portion pasted over.
It would be helpful to compare components to.

                    Thanks !

                    • I think my 2 Boards act like dead bricks.

I will post Photos of the 2 Silverdog IDX PRO Boards at lunch.

Maybe somebody can spot the problem.

                      • jlsilicon you think maybe you have the ones with the short that you need to cut look there first then battery

                        • * I have already scanned over for shorts between components.
                          * I will check for Board Short at lunch.
                          * Battery is (2) 9V Bats in series which should be fine with the 7808 VReg - which is not hot.

I believe he means the PCB that was made wrongly, with a short on the PCB that needs cutting. I remember reading about it some time ago....
It is documented here somewhere....maybe someone better informed than I can help better....

                            Regards

                              • Can anybody give me a list of Voltage PIN Checks and Oscilloscope Tests - that I can do after work in 2 hours from now ?
I have limited time - so a list of things to do would be very helpful
                                - so I can list some info here ...

                                Thanks !
