  • So,
I rewrote the Arduino Code to input an Array of values,
    - and now I get a lot better clarity in the data.

I think I will add another OpAmp to increase the Gain more.
    I don't need to read the data at 2cm range;
    - its not used in the field at that range anyway.
The results are skewed that close to the coil.

    • hello,

Can you give me more info on adding two diodes?

A Where you place these diodes?
      Is the 1N4148?

VDI geotech module does not respond to a good distance.

I 've realized the VDI lugatek module and I have a +45 display on steel.

On the oscilloscope, the X and Y outputs are 400mV (PCB IDX)

Can not set to 0 for aluminum, potentiometer 4K7 has no influence ..

About VDI input schema, Somebody could tell me if this is an integrator assembly / diverter or differential amplifier ?

What part I could change to improve reception?

      Thanks

      • You connect ADC0 to X and ADC1 to Y on the IDX board.
Or, you can connect ADC0 and ADC1 to the Outputs from U3B p1 and U3D p14.

The Diode(s) are on the IDX Board.

        • Off-handedly,

Could we use a Potentiometer of say 10ohn or 2ohm between the RX Coil and the OpAmp - and just use a constant 33nf cap,
          - instead of fidgeting with different Capacitors around 33nf ?

Wouldn't this be easier to adjust ?

Jlsilicon, I think I do not need capacitor on tx and RX because I have an original coil loop 950

Everything works fine ... there was a split in path on the PCB lugatek.

Completely Invisible. I saw with meter. DM-1 lugatek ok

Thank you for your help ..

                • I can detect the coin of copper and aluminum 2.4mm in the air 33cm
And also 4 * 4 mm copper nugget in the air 10cm
my coil =TX 17.5cm RX 8cm Similar xlt But with different lengths and taking into account the frequency

                  Please give me tips
1-depth sensitivity in the ground is weak compared to the tests the air?
2-We have two votes pin point and natural sound Imagine no regular land. Supposed to adjust the GB to be one in a pin point or natural sound. I have a problem in a pin point I have to adjust the GB if I'm back to normal voice I have to adjust the GB again ????

                  • Support 2 tones?

can someone tell me what part I find the way to put a switch for the 2 tones, not having to replace components .. is that I saw somewhere I've searched and can not find it .. I need if anyone can help me with part in the forum where it gets a switch for 2 tones?

                    • Here's a 2 tone mod that seems to only work in PP mode;

                      • I think that the Pin point is a bit of an optical illusion,, The Pin point text is for the Switch. Not the 2 tone mod..

                        • Well pin 1 of the 393 gets pulled negative so cuts off the 2nd tone when the PP button is pushed...

I got my original working with about 1 foot range.
Enough to work with for the time being.

                              • My Project goes beyond the original designs
                                - and seems to be quite successful !
                                More info later ...
