Problème discrimination

Hello everyone

I changed the Onsemiconducteur LF347 LF Texas by another instrument and I obtained good results. + 45cm for 20cent euro in the air.
I tested with a buried 50centimes and it sounds to + 20cm.

I have a problem on discrimination. Iron is eliminated to the minimum position.

I tested with the VR3 poteniometre but it shifts the ground equipment only.

Iron is discriminated directly but aluminum happening and when discrimination is maximum aluminum rings again.

I have an 950 original coil whtie's and pcb silverdog

Someone would have the solution for this problem of discrimination?

With a copper coin wave close to the coil do you get a single beep or double

Can you cancel out ferrite with the ground balance POT


Sounds like you have good performance.


try a small piece of aluminum something like a ring pull

this sounds ok.

The idx disc ch sample time is fixed, the pot called disc doesnt move the sample time later to reject certain alloys.

The disc pot straddles the 'preset' Disc CH and the Geb Ch (all metal CH)

If pot wiper collects geb ch - no disc
If pot wiper collects disc ch - no iron

midpoint - mix of both

aluminum, copper, silver rings except the iron over the entire area discriminating 0 to 100%

may be just little influence on copper..reduce distance of détection with pot max

I would like to manage iron and I do not understand where does the problem.

Try changing the two LM393 (U8, U4).

Not much between them. In fact all designs from this era are pretty much the same

The IDX and TGSL (Tesoro Golden Sabre Light) have been highly developed on here with good quality boards available from silverdog.

I have only built the IDX but others have built both and have reported the IDX was deeper and the TGSL had better discrimination but any difference is marginal.

The Lobo was a higher frequency Tesoro designed mainly for small nugget hunting but still does a reasonable job coin shooting

Hello,

I replaced the LM393 Q4 andx. Perfect discrimination. 1 euro + 40cm

I then realized the PCB 2 tones I connected in the rules. Deleted LM393 Q7 and BC547.


With 2tones is what it is normal that discrimination no longer removes the metals, I have a performance degradation and ax permanent little sound.

2 tones is the silverdog models with output Q1 collector. I saw many connections as possible and I see now that you can leave Q7?

Someone I could advisers on the connection of 2Tones?,

You can make multi-tone at VCO on 555 timer or 4046.

I have a problem with the PCB 2 tones makes IDX very unstable

I have 2 tones of PCB silverdog
I connected the pines

1, 2 and 3 of U4
Pin 12 U2
basic Q4
Q1 collector

R55 or remove Q3
Delete U7

is that it is correct is that everything has to be connected?

If so, why is it that there are two tones without PCB pin 12 U2?

Sorry zoomix did not make the two tone so can't help.

Tried without and liked it the way it is. There is quite a lot of feed back from the quality of the tone as it is
