Hi all
I have a qusetion which is better idx or tesero lobo

pretty much the same with most of these home built or factory detectors. IDX if built well will preform as good as most modern detectors if you use 0 discrimination. So on quite fields is one of the best.


However I have also built the Tesoro Bandido and this is my main goto detector because with enough discrimination to eliminate small nails and the IDX set the same it has a very slight edge.
Also the Bandido has true no motion all metal mode. Comes in very handy to tell the size and shape of objects and great around tree roots.


Not tried the Lobo so can't compare.

Sorry for the language , but I have not yet figured out if the MD IDX pro 2 tones you've managed to make it work ?

if you follow the scheme and using potentiometer P7 go into discrimination (remove iron) surely you have two tones, just be careful PCB collector Q3.

i see very archaic russian word "desno" that means (AT) RIGHT. "desnitsa", is right nand in russian forgotten. what your native? what country you are from? where you got this chematic from which forum?

Word "desno" is serbian, it means "right", and this schematic is from Serbian hobidetektori forum. Second thing - this schematic is for Whites Classic 3, not for IDX.

i change rx capacitor and still have the problem with large copper target

small coin can be detected very near the coil\
but large bronze coin can be detect only if it 5cm to 35 cm
not less not more

is it saturation problem in amplifer stage ?
is it normal?
in all metal ( pin point ) it can detect large copper very near the coil

35cm on large coins is normal.

Not detecting if close to the coil is not

I have no ideas hope someone can jumps in. Only thing I can think of is the phase is altering and the target is being discriminated out as iron

Today i tried to null coils on my second idx, but there is weird problem. When i measure U1 pin 3, i got constantly 0.9 volt's. No changing voltage even with moving coils.
Measured AC 200 on multimeter.
What's the real nulling point on idx board? U1 pin 3 or?
