Maybe with a coil from another detector, Idx will work at 14khz without being noisy and without having air loss, compared to original frequency of Idx and original coil.

I doubt there is anything to be gained from changing it's frequency. I used both the IDX (about 2 years) and Bandido (about 1 year) . 6.5Khz against 14Khz both found the same amount of small targets.
In my lawn I have a coin buried 10" down. Both find it fine. Both occasionally pick up surface lead slot. There is a difference between the two machine though. If I have both machines at there real disc levels. That is the level where you are still digging a bit of odd shape iron and large iron washers. The IDX will not pick up the coin. Where as the Tesoro still does and in fact still does if the disc is turned up slightly more.
A smaller coil does go deeper on small targets like low power 22 cartridges. However you do have to swing very slowly as it's easy not latch onto target.

Work very well on small and bigger targets.
Also, EMI is not a problem even with Tesoro coil or my diy 9" which work on 12 khz.
If u wanna 12 khz, just put 330n on TX and 8 - 10n for RX. Mine is killing on small and tiny silver with 9" coil.
Both coils are very quiet on max sens, no matter if there is high power sources.

There are a couple of second hand whites coils on UK ebay at the moment. Would be nice
to know what whites coils will work on the IDX project. Have a home made coil working
but would like to compare with original coil.
Coils on Ebay today are Spectrum 9,5 inch concentric and muliple harmonic DFX concentric wide band

I have seen the Spectrum for only 20 pounds that's cheap. All coils of 6.59 kHz work well, Blue Max 950, Black Max 950 all coils for Classic , 5000-6000 series SL and XLT are the same they work with IDX. Eclipse and new ones do not they have different inductance.

I corrected the PCB and added the missing components. I wish that we all take a look and give a chance on this project. Surely here in the forum there are people who would be interested in this project. I've also found the VDI file with all documentation. Please advise if there is any error in the PCB. I'll put here a video of this VDI I found on Youtube. Thanks for reading. Eduardo.

Really is worth getting a nice through plated board
I have built this one http://www.silverdog.co.uk/shop2/ind...product_id=123 works well. Used it in the fields for 2 years no problems.
Did see this board
Know nothing about it

Hi
Just download the lay file than resize the pcb work space "right corner properties" to 210mmx297mm. When you are done with this make copies of the pcb as many as you can to fill in all the space. You can have about 6 PCB's. Now select just the copper layer C2, the green one and export the lay file as a BMP high quality image and save it. You will have a A4 sized black and white image of the PCB layout.
Best regards
