    • Hi, has anyone adapted this very interesting VDI project to other VLF detectors without visual meter or LCD and if so what was the outcome? Thanks.

Have to wait for my order from Silverdog till after Christmas and New Years.

      Regards Sido

          Hi reza2195 !
Unfortunately, there is not possible to be used PIC16F628A, because that pic have not A/D converter onboard and enough program memory.
It could be used pic (16 or 18 series) with not less than 4k flash and A/D converter, in example PIC18F1320, or PIC16F690, but that will be not soon, due to my time free missing.
          Regards.

I've got it working with my IGSL, it seems to give about the right readings for different metals but I've not tested it outside yet

            • Thanks Kliner, so it works with the IGSL. That is good to here. Any others???

I would say the readings outside on soil might differ slightly to what you are seeing now.

Would the VDI give different readings for the same object, same depth but in different soils?

              Regards Sido

                  • The reverse normally labels the end pins 1,16
                    Pin 1 is Gnd
Pins 15,16 are backlight +,- if you have a backlight

                        Hi Reza!
Well, I will recompile the VDI to PIC16F690 as soon as I can.

Hello people! I adjusted the final circuit made by Eduardo, to make it fit on a 5x5 sheet of fiber, which is the standard that I get in my city. Here I share it, maybe someone needs it.

                          Regards
