Of course you do! It would be an honor for me, but the credit must be for Eduardo and his excellent work.

You can find a lot of extra LCD information here:-

      http://web.archive.org/web/200712062...Pin_Definition

although the site is for PICAXE fans first and foremost, it may give more good ideas to anyone seeking LCD infos.

        That is what works.
        Hi Eduardo,

For some reason, I can't open this RAR file. Can you check if it is OK? I mean the file with the two tone modification.

        Thanks!

The PIC16F84 does not contain any A2D converters, and therefore cannot be used with the VDI circuit. I cannot believe there are no PIC16F88 ICs in your country. It is a very common device.

                      • Smaller VDI PCB

Hello! Here is the PCB of the VDI in 5x5 cm in case anyone needs it. I do not know if it is very small and if the proximity of the tracks can be a problem. Please DO NOT USE until check that everything is correct, I think so, but I'm only a hobbyist and I can have made a mistake (which I do appreciate you letting me know)
                        Well, that's all.

                        regards

”Hola!

                        Saludos

                        • I like your small dimension board but not the expense of mounting holes. It would be nice to have four holes, instead of two. All user interface board are exposed for mechanical stress due push-button or encoder activities.

What I often do (with or without mounting holes in a PCB!) is to put a spot of hot melting glue at each corner and press it onto some part of the inside of the box or similar.

It holds well but the hold can be broken with careful use of a screwdriver or similar if needed......Does not need any metallic hardware like screws, nuts and standoffs, nor do I need to drill holes, which may be a problem anyway with certain sensitive designs....

For me its the perfect answer to the problems of mounting PCBs inside (usually) plastic boxes.

Note, if it doesn't stick, clean with Meths/Denatured alcohol first.

                            Regards

                            Andy.

I had thought some kind of solution that Andy gave to fix the board. Either way, it was not a big deal to add two small holes more (There“s no more space ). They are asymmetric with respect to the others, but they are there. Now is your problem.

Here goes, with other minor design fixes.

                              Best regards

                              • Fabian you have one little mistake on your board. R3 need to be conected for other side of R4.
